Adam West and Burt Ward are Back in: BATMAN: RETURN OF THE CAPED CRUSADERS

seen it yesterday at comic con funnier than I expected it was great

I hope we get a series of animated films before Mr West leaves us all....Hopefully not for a long time.

Dude has always ruined Batman for me, so will ignore this development.

Oh cool, someone who has seen it. What would you give it out of 10?

I'm not them but I just saw it about an hour ago.

I'd give it a 7.5-8/10. It's just a silly, absurd fun ride which can sometimes drag on a bit too long and I personally wish the film was a bit brighter and more vivid to reflect the look of the show. However, it's the 60's show to a tee and then some. There's some real funny jokes (one joke about The Dark Knight Rises caught me off guard), good voice acting and surprisingly better animation than The Killing Joke (their Wayne Manor looks like it has more effort than anything in The Killing Joke). Go into it expecting it to be everything that made the 60's show so effortlessly entertaining.

Cool that they're doing a sequel plus they got Shatner.

Sounds great

Very happy it captures the spirit of the show. That is the most important thing for me.

Speaking of which, I wonder if it'll be based on Harlan Ellison's "The Two-Way Crimes of Two-Face"-story that never aired(also adapted for Batman '66 comic).
The fact that Shatner is playing Two-Face also makes me wonder if maybe Harlan Ellison, seeing how he had also written episodes for the original Star Trek, could have maybe written Two-Face with Shatner in mind or maybe suggested him for the part back then. Hence, him doing the part now. Probably not. Just a fun thought.

They even have moments where even dialogue shots are shot as a Dutch angle like the show would frequently do (and even make fun of that at one point).

8 out of 10 if you grew up with the 60's show like I did your going to love it
look out for a The dark knight rises burn at the end :sly:

Just saw it and I very much enjoyed it. Anyone who loves the old show and the Batman '66 comics should like this. The voices were delightfully executed and the animation was some of the best I've see from DC material. Some elements from the story reminded me a little bit from an episode of the old Batman Filmation cartoons, which is pretty neat.

Can't wait for Shatner's Two-Face!

Its a pity TKJ didn't have this excellent level of animation.

This was a fun nod to the sixty era and I love how we got to see Batman kinda go twisted dark with adam delivering some of the more brutal lines of dialogue like Keaton's "You wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts, and The Dark knight Returns "I'm the surgeon"

For those who saw the film: What was the dig they took at The Dark Knight Rises?

catwoman suggest to batman they should both retire to an isolated place and Robin goes "Holy unsatisfying ending batman"

This was the one DC film that i've enjoyed this year.

I wonder if Warner Bros will consider a Wonder Woman '77 animated film? I guess Batman '66 is more iconic and probably will sell hence why the sequel is already greenlit but I imagine Lynda Carter would be up for reprising the role.

It was pretty good.

I hope they make a "BvS" with Reeve's Superman (even if he'd obviously have someone else's voice).
