I think Adrien Brody would make a good mad hatter.

Tall to be Mad Hatter. He could've been great Joker.

Does The Mad Hatter's height really matter? Yeah, I know in the comics he is very short, but really, I don't think it matters as much as it does, say, to The Penguin.

That being said, I can't see Brody in the role. My choice for the part would be Brad Dourif.

His roles include Grima Wormtongue in the last two LOTR movies and Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, and he also did the voice of Chucky in the Child's Play series. He excels at playing creepy and eccentric characters such as The Mad Hatter, and I feel he'd be perfect for the part.

Well doesn't matter but the Mad Hatter I read in comics I can't see tall actor playing him. Would you cast short guy to play Harvey Dent? I don't think so.

Well, you have a point, but I still don't think height is a deciding factor in any role except The Penguin. Granted, I'm not saying we should go ahead and cast a 5'2 man as The Joker or Two-Face, but I really don't think it's a big deal.

That being said, Brad Dourif isn't that tall, so no harm done.

More of an Arkyum for me.

He was rumored to be up for Arkhum, but with more recent rumors it looks like Arkhum won't appear. Besides, I'd much rather see him as The Mad Hatter.

I think Paul Giamatti could make a really cool Hatter. He has the right look, he's super talented, plus (kind of like with Ledger) we've never seen him in a part like this, so it would be interesting.

Interesting idea.

I had an actor in mind for the role of The Mad Hatter, but I forgot who it was.

Intersting idea of Martin Short being The Mad Hatter, but I don't quite see a dark twisted humor side of Short.

How about Robin Williams?

More of The Ventriloquist or Penguin to me. Martin Short and Andy Serkis are my Hatter picks all the way. :batman: :batty: :bat:

Robin Williams is perfect for the mad hatter. Tony Hopkins would be good too.

I really don't want to see Adrien Brody in a Batman movie now. I really wanted him to be Joker. Now if I see him as anybody else it'll just remind me that I'm pissed he didn't get the role. Blessings to Heath Ledger though:up:

My top two picks! My vision of the Mad Hatter is that of someone a little older, pudgy and with an inviting,father-like persona on the surface but with a disturbed darkly obsessed side within. The more he realises what he is doing is wrong, the more emerced in the Alice in Wonderland character he becomes.

I actually love that intrerpretation. Good job.

I can somewhat see Adrien Brody as The Mad Hatter.
Probably because when I think of The Mad Hatter, I usually think of the animated version where he honestly was fairly tall. Don't think I would give Brody blonde hair though.

A lot of people mention Martin Short for Hatter, but is it only because he looks like the character? I have never really rated Short as an actor so I just don't see it. I love the idea of Dourif though.

Adrien Brody for Mad Hatter? Don't think so...I just don't see it. Martin Short as Mad Hatter.

I used to be for Short. Then I realized how rediculously out of place he'd be in a Batman movie.

Did you see Martin Short on Law and Order: SVU?

Well, remember, Martin Short did play the actual Mad Hatter in an Alice in Wonderland a made-for-tv adaptation a couple of years ago.

Personally, I don't ever want to see the Mad Hatter in a Batman movie.
