AI in the Entertainment Industry

It's what I've been saying about paintings. If I ask you why you put a blue mug there, and your answer is 'the computer spat out some options for a painting and the one I picked had a blue mug in it', that painting has no value to me.

Can't wait for bloopers featuring AI "actors". Wait, yes I can.

They're looking for a new Wonder Woman. How tall is Tilly? :ninja:

In its core idea, AI will crash and burn because of Copyright.
Copyright is more important than ever for companies because of the increasing monetization, their greed.

AI is in its core something that ignores that, that literally uses Copyrighted material...AI has to steal from things that exist, belong to someone to function.
Its very principles are against Copyright.

Its just a matter of time before Companies put the foot down.
How this will shape AI going forward, will be interesting to see.
It will burst the bubble and ruin a lot of AI Bros...which is good.
But how this will go then, hard to say.
Companies love the idea of it, the money they can save...but it also brings them a lot of problems.

Disappointingly wrongheaded and :vomit:

No it’s not the new oil canvas, it’s asking a computer to generate an average from mass plagiarism and is anti-environmentalism because of the massive energy and water and land costs. It’s bad for labor, bad for quality and creativity, bad for the environment and furthers global warming, and economically a bubble with unproven ROI.

But the bubble economy and money around this has caused people who should know better to set aside any other principles. Like the comedians and celebrities who work for Saudi Arabia and UAE.
