Yes you can.
No you don't.
No it's not.
Sleeker doesn't mean he'll be wearing tights 'ala DEAD END. It probably means a thinner rubber suit or maybe something similar to Spidey's suit(as far as the materal goes) but with armor plating. Yeah, that could work IMO.
Off the top of the head...Perhaps, during Bruce's first confronation with the Joker, he gets sprayed w/ Acid and he's actually severely burned/injured etc. (Leading to his first significant physical scarring as Batman ala by the Joker?)
So he needs to modify a new suit to withstand the chemicals?
Wow JBElliot, great arguement. But, seriously prove how they can adapt Batman with tights on the bigscreen and make it look good. And, for the love of your god dont say "Dead End".
hey man I pretty much agree with you, but there have been HUGE threads devoted to this topic. I guess it'll just continue here. The rest of your post clearly indicates you are not the type of person I was referring to.![]()

I don't really think anyone literally wants "tights". More like an armored version of the Superman and Spider-Man movie suits.Wow JBElliot, great arguement. Astonishing rebuttal of those points there. Are you gonna explain your viewpoint or do we more mortals have to guess?
Who cares about what exactly the material is as long as it looks like a better version of the Dead End costume, or said another way, looks like the costume in the comics.

But if I'm wrong, then yeah, I wholeheartedly disagree with him.
I hope you know that wasn't me who wrote this? That's the best description I've heard yet. More "heavyweight fabric" and less "clunky rubber". A lot of the arguments regarding the suit material misconstrue what is meant, when people want a more refined costume similar to the comics. Somehow that means cheap cloth you can find in any clothing store.
I know I know. The joke is that we are all talking about the same thing and arguing on how it is worded.
It'll definitely be interesting to see if the new suit will go with his new title. Perhaps a darker may take form, I'm definitely hoping for somewhat longer ears, and a large cape with noticeable scallops.
I think the memory cloth glider cape will stay. I mean that was really cool! It totaly explained the technology behind Batman using his cape to glide like in TAS. Not sure how he does that in the comics though? Personally I like the shorter ears they just need to be thinner and sleaker along with the jaw and neck line.
Nolan and his investors know they have got us hooked so the need to keep to certain conformities such as Batman having a wide jaw is something they can move past now I think. Of course the WB has also learned its lesson and knows what core elements need to be faithfull. There is no contest we won't be dissapointed by this movie.

But with the idea that there's some sort of protection either by the fabric's own material, or there's some armor under the suit (like the comics)...right?No visible armor, just like the comics.

He doesn't in the comics, he still uses the grapple. As for the memory cloth, I'm fine with it. I just want it to have some noticeable scallops. The only time you really saw them, is when Batman glides off towards Ra's. In all other cases, it just looked like a big, black towel.I think the memory cloth glider cape will stay. I guess I can be fine with the same sized ears. It just looked really weird with the egg-shaped cowl.Personally I like the shorter ears they just need to be thinner and sleaker along with the jaw and neck line.
I was talking to Keyser.I hope you know that wasn't me who wrote this?
what doesn't make sense is that the man's a billionaire... for ****'s sake, make a suit that is bulletproof, flame resistant, CHEMICAL RESISTANT... surely he could do that
