AIM 6.9 Problem

I just recently installed the newest version of AIM 6.9 & when I try signing in, it tells me that the connection failed. It says to try auto configuring my settings & I have done that several times but nothing. Manually, I have no idea.

The older version I had of AIM, 6.0 apparently isn't available. I have an XP soooo...anyone else have this problem recently?

Oh, yeah. I also have a high speed connection/broadband..whatever it's called.

Yep, same here.....

But, I have a Microsoft update that I haven't done yet.....I'm hoping this will help in the situation.

Ooh, haha. Well, I downloaded the one I have but it still tells me the connection failed.

I dunno what the hell I'm supposed to have for the host server. Mine is under kdc.uas.aol.com

& I don't think I use a proxy connection/host..

I did Trillion and it works.....I have all of my IM's on it....

Yeah, it's nifty. Uses less system resources because instead of having Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, AIM, and whatever else open you just have Trillian.

I got the problem fixed & was able to download the new version of AIM. My drivers were all screwed up so I just had to reinstall them & that seemed to work.
