Then it must be a character she carried over into her entire solo album. After all, this is only the first time she's had anything resembling a singing career since Wild Orchid broke up. Why would she want to make a serious record or say something profound, when she can make music that appeals to the lowest common denominator and claim it was supposedly ironic when someone calls her on it? That ho.

This was back before her solo album, and yes I agree that even then she seemed to enjoy that "character" a little too much. I think the group, as a whole, meant "My Humps" to be funny though. Then Fergie just went overboard

Black Eyed Peas used to be a fun hip-hop group with credibility and style. I loved them back when they made songs like "Joints & Jam." Their Behind the Front album was genius, and the follow up was pretty good. Then Fergie joined the group, and Will.i.am realized they could cash in on her sex appeal. That's when they realized they could make songs like "My Humps," which had no rapping or singing in it, turn them into hit singles, and take the money to the bank.

Black Eyed Peas went from an overall decent group to s***. Thanks, Fergie. See you in hell.

but on a serious note, i listen to the BEP version of that song and its certainly annoying but it has its moments where its kinda fun, but when you hear it sang like this it sounds so wrong and perverted, honestly, just proves how much we get caught up in rhythym and beats and not really the lyrics
