I'm currently reading this classic from 1865 for the second time. First time was about a year ago (I wanted to read it before the Tim Burton-movie came out). I feel when I read it constantly jump between reading it as a simple children story spiced up with extreme absurdity and amusing nonsense, and reading it as a story filled with symbolism (and at the same time being aware that there's a lot of symbolism that I do not get).
Have anyone else read this book? What do you think? How do you read it?
