The massively acclaimed Alien franchise is one of the most successful of all time, beginning with the first film in 1979. In a dramatic twist, this novel will return us to that time, to Ellen Ripley, and to never-before-revealed secrets of the Weyland-Yutani Corporations...secrets that lead into the events of the second film, Aliens...and beyond!

I read and owned all of these books up to a certain point in the late 90's. Most of them are so-so, a few are very good, the rest weren't all that good. I quit reading them after they started to go really bizarre in their stories and nonsensical.

This one sounds like a retcon. One with the alien xenomorph in name only as I doubt they'll be used judging by the synopsis talking of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation's (singular, as it's one corporation, not two at this point, hence the hyphen) secrets that lead to the sequel and to Ripley who was in cryo-sleep during the 57 years between Alien and Aliens.
