Even voice over work or something. Like Keith David, he does LOADS of voice over work from Spawn TAS to Mass Effect. Wincott has one of THE most bad ass voices ever.

I like Ridley Scott's Alien, but James Cameron's Aliens is imo the best Alien movie in the series. This movie has so many great moments, like when the team went into the lair full of arrogance, then they got ambushed and all hell broke lose. Or when the remaining survivors sealed off all the entrances, only to discover that the aliens were coming in through the wind tunnels. But the best part is when Ridley went in to save that little girl, and faced down against the Alien Queen. Some people lauded David Flicher's Alien 3, but to me there is no comparison between the two.

If Scott comes back to do another Alien film, my head will explode.

But will he work with Fox again after they forced him to cut down Kingdom of Heaven?

Yep. When he was asked what does he think of AVP film(s), he simply said "I better keep my mouth shut, 'cause I have pretty good relationship with Fox. But I think you know how I feel".

In order of most favorite to least . . .
    1. Aliens. Ripley taking on the Queen, Hicks, James Horner's score . . . everything just clicked.
    2. Alien. A true horror classic.
    3. Alien 3. Good, just not a masterpiece like its predecessors.
    4. Alien Resurrection. I heard anytime you mention this movie to writer Joss Whedon, he cries. I wonder why . . .

I agree with the bolded. Especially the way the Fox fanfare just drops away at the beginning like that at the beginning, and then the opening credits sequence...

But they really needed a different creature this time--maybe not the full on "xenofemale" thing Giger had envisioned, but something remarkably different. That's what made the first Alien so scary is that you didn't know what was coming. You can't "go back to the mystery of one alien" if you just do the same thing as before.

Well he didn't do American Gangster or Body of Lies with Fox, and Robin Hood is with Universal.

I think a sequel to the series is fine with me. No Ripley, no one else. Just another take and element to the horror that the xenomorphs bring.

I am not liking the explanation of who they are and where they come from. I don't want to know why or what they are. That sense of the unknown of the alien creatures is scary enough.

If Scott does this he needs to just make a sequel and stick with the first movies horror feel. And make it R rated so we don't go into the movie expecting anything light in the violent category...lost in space, with an unknown terror, little to no weaponry, no where to run and no one to help you.

Another essential is good characters and actors to show the suspense and anxiety of the situation which was done much better in Alien than any of the others.

''BTW, did anyone know that the actress that played Vasquez in Aliens (The awesome hispanic lesbian marine)...is actually white! ...WTF?! I thought she was hispanic the whole time, I think thats actually pretty cool. Shes actually the same actress that play John Connor's foster mom in Terminator 2!''

    OMG i never noticed this.

Meh, I don't know. But maybe we do need a great film after AR to make up for it.

They should go in a different direction though.

This news is really unexciting to me. A prequel? Seriously?

Yeah, no prequel. I'm starting to hate studios doing all these damn prequels.

Damn, back when the TOD and the PT came out, no one really heard of prequels before

I not only need a better finale than AR, I demand it.

The least AR could have done was show us some Winona cyborg T's and we didn't even get that. In all seriousness, the only redeeming scene is the underwater scene. Pure anxiety.

To me, there is really only one thing that I want.

DON'T TOUCH THE DAMN SPACE JOCKEYS.

The one thing we know nothing about, leave them be.

I hope Scott is giving full control like Rodriguez is for 'Predators'. Could this be a new era for Fox & that they've learned from WB & Marvel? We can only hope, we can only hope.

Agreed about the space jockey. If they explain that, that whole effect of them finding it out of nowhere will not be scary anymore. We will know what it is and where it came from and that loses everything.

I can not be more serious about this: I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHERE OR WHY OR WHEN THE XENOMORPHS ARE FROM!!!!!!!!

That is why they work. We don't know and mankind, in the movie series, continued to interpret how we could use them but we had no idea how destructive they are. "The ultimate being", like Ash says in Alien. The mystery is part of the terror. Let it be. And obviously a prequel can not explain the history considering mankind knew nothing of them before LV-426 and if they did they all died. Spoiler.

    Altogether I fell... and :csad:
