I don't know about everyone else on this thread, but I didn't mention Mars Attacks for the same reason I didn't mention Star Wars: Episodes 1, 2, and 3. I just didn't like it. And if I don't like a movie, I'm not going to list it among my "favorites".

Predator is probably my all time favorite alien movie. It's the only one that has yet to lose it's luster over time for me. Probably because it's just so singularly simple a premise that there's not much room for it to slip.

I think I'll add Cloverfield
...and to be clear, the only Invasion of the Body Snatchers I liked were the original from the 50's and the 70's version with Donald Sutherland. I know that movie has been remade like 4 or 5 times.
I won't say Star Wars or Trek, cause that feels like cheating.

I don't see anyone else mentioning Signs. That movie seems to polarize people...some like it some hate it.
