What I don't understand is all the haters of the first film are all going to flock to the theaters for Revenge of the Fallen.
Bay is doing something right..

I tough the fights we're pretty clear. Batman Begins, by example, had harder fights to understand. The only scene I can't quite understand is Ratched and Ironhide Vs. Starscream (Re-watched the movie yesterday and understood the Optimus Prime VS. Bonecrusher.t

yeah. killing filmmaking.Bay is doing something right..
One can understand whats going with these fight scenes.
However it's like using the shakey cam technique. When the scene is so zoomed in, you don't know what is happening outside of the frame. You don't know what their legs or other arm is doing. I for one was annoyed by this. I found myself wanting to tilt my head in different directions to see whats going on outside of frame. I was all like "Woooaah effin swweet! what the hell is goin on over there? dammit, woah sweet! Was that Brawl? Argh! Woah Sweet!"
They may have done this for rendering purposes. Or just to make it seem more intense. Who knows. But I hope that the scenes have more zoomed out parts in them in the sequel.

when Bay said he couldn't even finish the animated film, means he completely doesn't get the heart and soul of the Transformers.
it's like cloverfield, except if you complain there you kinda look stupid
The single viewing of the 07 film is the last i give Bay money ever.
People in this thread say that directors don't intentionally piss of fans. Everything about the car lot scene felt like a kick in the balls. Bernie Mac's character and the 1 note cheapass dad was bad enough. But the the very intentional giant middle finger Bay gave me when the Camaro smacks the Bug translates to a complete disregard for the old school.
I can handle a modernization of the series, even the Camaro, but when Bay said he couldn't even finish the animated film, means he completely doesn't get the heart and soul of the Transformers.
When you see Hellboy movies, Lord of the Rings, and Star Trek, they're modernized movies with soul and a geniuine love for the material. All 'hardcore' fans want is that maybe someday someone will make a TF movie that actually liked the material..
This isn't an intelligent romp into the political dimensions of a civil war torn robotic alien immigration. This is a summer popcorn movie with action, explosions, and humor. This will be better than Wolverine and some of the people that thought that movie was great are the ones tearing this movie down in the Woverine forum.
To be fair, the only person who even resembled comedic in the first one was Turturro, but that's a given.
All the other so called "funny moments" were not funny.
absolutely stunning Australian genius. Terrible, just terrible.
I think it's funny. Things that you don't find funny, others do, and the other way around. We've all got a different sense of humour.
Would you prefer an ugly Australian genius? I think not.t:
Well yea I understand that.
And yea there is never anything wrong with gorgeous Aussies! But as a frickin genius who is more clever than anyone else in the US government?!??! Errr...no. That is just pure Michael Bayism.
