all time top 5 hammiest, most overplayed scenes

God, this really is Super emo hype. Or Super lack of reading comprehension Hype...

Blud_Knight isn't criticizing these scenes in terms of their quality, but there over-use in parodies and referrences in pop culture. They're becoming over-done, tired, cliche, played out, done to death, or if you want to play with the big words, trite.

Then the thread should have a different title.

Oh hush

And it's true.

Anything from Borat is overplayed.

And Selene jumping from the rooftop in the beginning of Underworld is overplayed.

The Batman & Robin cod piece & butt shots as they suit up in the movie. Way overplayed in 1 movie.

Arnold as the Terminator saying "Asta La Vista Baby".

Zod in Superman 2 "Kneel Before Zod".

Forrest Gump "Momma Always Said Life Is Like A Box Of Chocolates" & "Run Forrest Run".

well, mister genius, would you care to enlighten us with your wisdom since you're already posting here instead of just sitting there and not contributing to the thread?

Any Jim Carrey comedy...ever. That dude is seriously not funny.

i'm gonna have to disagree with you on that...

...i don't know one person that didn't end up liking Dumb and Dumber after watching it.

The "You talking to me?" scene from Taxi Driver has been parodied in everything.

The thread title was misleading. You should've titled it something like "Top 5 Over referenced/Over parodied scenes" or something like that.

Well since you asked so nicely...

The thread is quite cleary referencing parodies of scenes and not the performances of the actors within the original scenes, so springing to the defense of the Darth Vader 'I am your father' scene and proclaiming that it was perfectly played is moot, as the point was that the scene has been referenced, homaged and spoofed a thousand times.
