I don't think that he ever had any supporters. He's just plain a man with a huge ego, a vault full of Nazi gold, and waaaaay too much time on his hands. He wouldn't care if his movies didn't make a single dollar of their budget back, and he'd still keep making them.

I...like Uwe. Alone in the Dark is his best looking film to date that I've seen. Not a good script, but it looks like a theater release compared to House of the Dead and Bloodrayne and features his best directing imo. Gonna trade in my copy of Alone in the dark on dvd, then buy the new dvd at Wal-Mart.
