Alpha Flight Movie?

The Avengers in the MCU are more like the Defenders in the comics, or at least how the Defenders were originally conceived. They were a non team who only came together when needed in emergencies, otherwise they went their separate ways in between. The Avengers aren't like their comic counterpart where they all live together in a mansion and train together.

They're both really. They started out like you describe, then in AoU they were all together for months on end chasing down Hydra and hanging out in Stark (Avengers) Tower. Then those of them that didn't try to retire after AoU moved to the Avengers HQ that featured in Ant-man, Homecoming, etc, all the way to Endgame and absolutely lived and trained there together for some time. Then they split in two in Civil War, but the 'official' team stayed at Avengers HQ and Cap's 'underground' team seems to have largely stayed together, as well. They all came back together in Inifinity War and then largely split apart again during the five year post-snap era before coming back together for Endgame. Where they go from there remains up in the air, it could be another period of separation or another period of consolidation.

Nathan Fillion as Guardian

I've only read the really old Alpha Flight stuff, but I don't remember Guardian being that smarmy...

I've never read any comics with Scott Lang (I'm exclusively an X-reader). I don't imagine he's like Paul Rudd either...

Probably true (and I don't actually know, either).

I still think Fillion was perfect for Wonder Man, though, so I'd rather see that come back.

I don't think Fillion is perfect for Wonder Man at all. I think Henry Cavill is a much better pick and something that would actually suit him and his musculature and limited acting abilities.

I'd say Rudd is more like Lang than Fillion is like either Guardian or Wonder Man. But Lang in the comics has red hair. He is still fairly laid back and jokey though, and a contrast to the more serious Hank Pym.

In universe there are no Avengers, Hulks crippled, Cap, Tony are dead, Panther runs a country, Carol's in space as well as Thor, Lang and Hope probably wanna relax ect. Im sure eventually we'll see a new team

As pointed out by others already... No. No that is just you projecting your assumptions while ignoring what has been done in the past with the characters and the team.

The beginning of Endgame shows even after the snap for five years despite some members going off the reservation that the team was active, coordinated with one another and even took on missions. All while being HQ'd where?

The upstate NY Avengers facility introduced at the end of AOU.

Where undoubtedly some were training and living in.

Also... There is not even a hint of the dynamics the Defenders had in their 70's heyday in the MCU Avengers. From the end of the first Avengers until the end of Civil War the presentation of the Avengers does not mirror the comic book Defenders at all. And after Civil War we honestly don't get a look that delineates what the exact status was but again... Avengers HQ facility is still operational when Steve and the other "renegades" make their return in IW. And in the five years jump we are shown the members and allies working together.

So... Where exactly does this "They were actually more separate and a non-team like the Defenders, only getting together for the stories we see in the films" nonsense backed up by nothing what so ever come from?

Yea Fillion doesn't have the look of Wonder Man either. I (mostly facetiously) suggested him (for Guardian) because he's quintessentially Canadian.

I would've suggested the other famous Canuck, Gosling...baby Goose but I want him in a bigger role and I don't want them to cover his pretty face. :)

I don't think anyone understands what I was saying. Im not projecting? I dont know what you're even assuming there but ok. In Far From Home its stated that the Avengers are not a currently operating team. I'm well aware of there being potential Avengers members inside the MCU but what I'm saying is the Avengers have been an active team in some way in universe since 2015. At this point in time in the MCU. There is no Avengers team that is currently Active. They will eventually band together again but the Governments want Soldiers and Task Forces which is why they'll set up those replacement teams. Falcon, Ant-Man, ect arnt calling meetings or anything, they may not even be keeping in touch but the 3 most powerful/influential characters in Post Infinity Saga Mcu are 1. Watching a country after being gone 5 years. 2. Dealing with S**t in space 3. Handling interdimensional threats. They have no greater cause at this point.

Jared Keeso for Guardian. Guardian is from London, Ontario, while Keeso is from Listowel. He's nowhere near a big name, which I imagine is something you wouldn't be able to get for a role like Guardian. I'd say he has the look, he's got the comedic chops that are probably going to be required, and of course... he's the toughest guy in Letterkenny.

Haha oh that guy. He has the look though.

For whatever reason Guy Peace as Sasquatch Just entered my head. Too bad he was Killian
