I found this while over at AICN this morning and just wanted to share it with you all. I apologize if this has been posted before.

The picture originally came from here.

it looks good, a bit more rounder.

from the looks of it, it seems to be another still from the "teaser" logo animation. you can see the right wing has some cracks in it. maybe as the light in the background gets brighter it starts cracking and breaking up? or parts of it are flying in and it's piecing itself together.

Hmmm...the emergence of the is image now combined with the one on the site makes it more believable now that its part of an animation.

Though it doesn't neccessarily mean its part of the teaser. It could be a forthcoming Flash Intro that could be added to the site soon.

I think its a continuation of the frame from the TDK website. To me it looks like the logo is breaking up as it moves closer to the screen.

The backround of this new logo reminds me of the clouds in the Batman Begins trailers and TV Spots --- with a new color!

Sure it ain't fan-made?

Really, I'm more interested in where it came from than anything.

That looks fan-made to me, even the ears of the logo look manipped.

Why aren't the wings straight? Fan made. The top of the wings should be an even line, if you hold a bit of paper up to it you'll see it's way off.

I don't really see the symbol wobbling or bending about in an official animation.

Eh, yeah I'm going to assume it's fake at this point simply because this image is clearly not as far along in it's degeneration as the other, yet the inside part of the right wing is severely chipped away, whereas in the other image it's completely intact.

Aspect ratio looks to be for widescreen film.

I'd bet this is a screen cap from forthcoming teaser we will see sometime in the Fall.

And/or for web site use.

Nice catch, and you're probably right.

But it dosen't rule it out. I think the symbol on the offical site is canted a little bit as well, but it may just be my eyes playin' tricks on me.

What movie was it when the logo was breaking up as it flew at the screen...? Damn. I can't remember to save my life.

well the wing is breaking apart in the animation, so that would kind of throw of the symmetry of the wings.

Looks fake to me.

I think this pic is an fake, done in photoshop. Some parts are scruffy and uneven. Especially at the aspect ratio-borders:

FAKE! I mean, come on... they made a Joker pic which we thought could be real; now it's too difficult do make a manip of a f'ing bat logo?

Also, I really like the logo but why you think it's a screencap from a teaser trailer? Because of the black bars? Let's go back to Batman Begins: The first thing Warner Bros. posted on the official website was a logo. The same, exact logo (with the same background; title Batman Begins appearing later) also appeared in the teaser trailer which debuted in July. So, where's the difference? This is the new logo, we'll probably see it in the teaser trailer, too.

Sincerly,
The Internet.

BTW, not aimed at the person who posted about it here. Just so we're clear on that. :)
