im getting sick of these freakin films. ever since save the last dance its such a trend now to the guy from the hood.hip hop world gets with some chick who knows ballet and shnit. and some romance between the two blossoms. jesus christ.

It's the same exact plot, OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.
I'm sick of them as well.

You guys need to pick better movies to watch!

Too bad I don't.
It's just I see the commercials, and all I see are the same film, with different horrible actors in the same roles.

I never considered them dance movies. The "dancers" have no rhythm, timing or talent. You need at least those as a dancer no matter what kind of dancing it is.

I don't watch those types of films, so I wouldn't know. :O

And Christ can't help you there. He's floating around Heaven like a fairy. :)

They're making dance /hip hop movies.

I'm too old to care :(

dont forget the dancing/salsa movies.........OMG!! enough!!

like skating/rollerblading......

or in-laws comedies....yeesh

As a skateboarder I find these skateboarding movies as an embarrassment to me. Cheesy pieces of **** that just enforce the stupid stereotypes.

I want to burn anyone who keeps these films going. You Got Served was the worst of them and should have stopped there.

can't say we're overly bombarded with them at our local cinemas.

i say they should start making more rock movies. there's been abotu 2 in the last 8 years.

i don't think there have been that many... and none of them are any good. the 80s had a bunch more dance movies than today i believe. I think they were actually good back then.

There chick flicks I wouldn't expect comic book fans to like them  I am looking forward to seeing Step it Up anywayzz :o Channing Tatum:O

^^^ thats exactly the film im talking about its pure garbage.

girl: see if you can catch me

You haven't even seen it yet nor read a review. Plus this movie isn't geared toward you anyway...

What I dont understand is why you are all bothered by it? Clearly their made for a teenage audience (albeit hipster/urban 12-19 year olds) who would watch these films at the mall cineplex on a saturday afternoon or rent a blockbuster DVD. That's fine, Show business is still a business as much as it is art. Granted a lotta of these movies are over-generic and have cliched dialouge, I dont suspect that's going to bother a 14 year old or whatever. I dont watch them, my little sister might or something but I've got other alternative choices of movie entertainment
I would have thought you guys would know that by now. I understand if its because films seem over-marketed and in your face but your not being forced to watch these films, focus on the flicks you have an intrest in and despite the precieved lack of quality entertainment out there, there is still tons of alternatives there.
I say this cause the complacency towards these films is as cliched as the films themselves.

I think these are lame, but they do bring in money. Sadly alot of directors could make this sub-genre more worth while if they tried to bring something new to the game, but alas, this is not meant to be Oscar material anyway.

I never really watch them, so I can't get sick of them.
