I mean, yeah, pulp fiction was good and he's got a few other gems but speaking in mass generalities, most of his movies just aren't that good but he always gets a lot of hype on them just cause he's Samuel L "Mother-****in" Jackson.

discuss. :o

Any black man who can wear a kilt and still look like one mean motherf***er is cool in my books.

I think he's overrated and never delivers to his hype, but I don't hate him.

It's tough if you don't like him because he's been in 47.6% of all Hollywood movies made in the last ten years.

Good actor, ****ty movies and has been playing his "image" for years now, but still a pretty good actor who is so cool no one cares.

Yeah right.

LOL. :woot: I like Sam Jackson, but I do think that he makes way too many movies.

He's been in a surprising number of films that would be complete **** (without him). His profile is also a lot higher than his actual achievements.

Having said that I love him :woot:

He's the kind of actor that has more **** movies than good. But you still dig his presence and charm, and his ability to go from funny as hell to mean as a mother **** snake in a nano second. BTW, he was in Snakes on a Plane and is now in Black Snake Moan. WTF is with SLJ and snakes??

Samuel L. Jackson is in just about every movie.
You just don't see him, or he doesn't have a huge role.

In Superman Returns, he was "Guy Walking Down Street #2".

that's about what i would have said. he's not really bad (except for in the star wars prequels, yeesh!) but he's not anything special, either. why snakes on a plane got so hyped just because of him, i have no idea.

Don't you get it?
Samuel L. Jackson is so cool that a complete POS movie and terrible, laughable idea was hyped up just because he starred in it. I went to go see it just because of him, and it was fun.

That was Batman Begins.
...and he actually was "Crazy Motherf***er #2 Walking Down Street". :woot:

Yes, he's been in a lot of crappy movies, but always elevates crappy movies past utter $#!t with his presence. Case in point, Deep Blue Sea, his death in the movie makes the movie. Getting eaten by a shark just after giving the rousing inspriation speech, awesome!

I'm not into him either. The only role I ever liked him in was Unbreakable and that was pretty much it.

He's an entertaining personality, however, it's the same performance over and over again :(

But...that's good thing isn't it? :meow:

Its the same thing with people like John Wayne and Arnold Schwarzneggar to a certain extent. But that's kind of the endearning thing, it's a nice familiarity. People saw movies with The Duke because they knew what they were getting...and they usually got it!
