am I the only one who is GLAD the pirate story is cut?

I did not bother to read it on my first read of Watchmen,But do when i read it again.Its a good little story but i feal it does not add much to Watchmen as a whole.Im in two mind about it not being in the film but its for the best i suppose that its been cut

I wouldn't say glad but I would've cut it. I can't really see how it could be done in a way that does it justice or to fit in with the story. It may act as a parallel subtext but I can't say I'll miss it
