Amalgam 2009 - Who would you combine?

[Batman]

Dark Knight (Batman/Moon Knight) - After the murder of his parents, young Bruce Wayne's psyche is shattered. Though he tries to maintain a normal life, his mind carries the trauma with him every step of the way, eventually evolving into the split personality of Marc Spector. Spector, built out of Bruce's rage towards criminals, becomes a mercenary and a bounty hunter for Raoul Bushman, leader of the League of Assassins. It is only when Spector/Wayne are left for dead in the East that he finds the spirit of Khonshu, an ageless Bat-God, that Wayne and Spector truly find purpose.

Reimagining himself to be Khonshu's avatar of justice, Bruce Wayne becomes The Dark Knight.

Gumby = the X-Men's Gambit + the Transformers' Bumblebee = an annoying french robot that can turn into a deck of cards. Also has an orange horse as a friend.

Iron-Bat

Bruce Stark creates a suit of armor to help save his life after being captured over seas while testing a new weapon for the military.

When he returns to Gotham City, he makes a better, sleeker version of the suit.

Wow, this is amazing.

As for Amalgam, I'm thinking about the following:

Iron Lantern - Tony Stark was developing his suit when he came across the powerful ring. Now the ring is used by Stark to power and ampify his suit, and makes him beyond powerful.

Spider-Bat - What happens when a wise-cracking guy becomes a brooding superhero?

Super Captain - Young Clark Kent decided to enter the military to defeat the Nazis, got frozen, and now came back as the Super Captain.
