Because apparently Loeb wasn't getting enough hate to sate his thirst

Speaking of deserved Loeb hate, check this out:

It appears now that marvel is censoring all the negative comments about Ultimate Spiderman cartoon:

Way to shove things down our throat mr Loeb!

thankfully, Loeb has nothing to do with the ASM vieo game, otherwise we will see Drake Bell voicing spidey, and spidey talks to us through the whole game, telling u things like "press the b button so i can make a witty comment....oh you didnt press it but i still i will make the witty comment and by the way Loeb hates you "

UPDATE: LINK FIXED

The link doesn't work, man ;)

PS: Who the hell is Loeb? lol

I don't mind Drake Bell actually, I'm just pissed they replaced Keaton. In fact I love the fact that Stan Lee, Coulson, and the guy who played JJJ in the original trilogy are in this. But that's about it. There aren't many "rogue-gallery" villains, the show's humor is way to childish, it's not good at being serious, breaking the 4th wall is Deadpool's shtick, not Spidey's, and it's more like Spidey and friends instead of it being about Spidey alone. For a show called Ultimate Spider-Man, it's really nothing like the comic series, Ultimate Spider-Man.

Oh, thanks :D
I haven't seen USM, because it hasn't arrived here in Spain. But, is it THAT bad?
What's bad about it? The voice, the writing, the stories...?

Oh it is bad VERY VERY bad.

The voice acting is the least of my complaints. In fact drake bell can improve as spidey.

The problem is the writing is horrible, inconsistent and makes no sense. TOO many plot holes, very childish stories, out of personalities characters (peter parker is almost nonexistent, its just spiderman and his teenage friends, like cage, iron fist and nova who were de-aged from the comics)

The show tries to be funny and all the jokes are not. Spidey will stop in the middle of the battle and start talking to us the viewer.

Venom is harry osborn, and symbiote was made from a blood sample taken from Spider-man's butt (i kid you not)

Spider-man has a motocycle that shoots web and drives on building and it is called the Spider-Cycle

Its just horrible horrible horrible. Worst spider-man cartoon ever made. And yes it is worse than MTV spiderman and even spider-man unlimited.

When will we get some proper footage from E3? I need moaaarrrrr! D:

That trailer was great.
Just by seeing Spidey web-swinging I already feel the vertigo. Can't wait.

It's like they put Deadpool in a Saved by the Bell style format and it's too kiddish (yes we get its aimed at kids but so were every spidey cartoon and they were still more appealing)

Pretty sure the only Spider-man villian who has been in USM so far is Venom and even he is messed up.

the whole spidey breaking the fourth wall i don't have a problem with since its similar to the comics..when he monologues he is basically talking to the reader

I hate the explaining. Kids aren't dumb. Next to Mickey Mouse and Micheal Jordan, Spider-Man is one of the biggest names in pop culture. We KNOW who aunt may is, we KNOW who venom is, and if the writers could write worth a damn we would KNOW what shield was. Also, Spidey and teams DO NOT MIX. There's been zero character development for any of Spidey's friends, they all do nothing to move the story. The animation took a step backwards too. The show sucks, Loeb needs a new job and I want Spectacular back.

The graphics are really way off and totally unfinished (too bad that only the Spider-Man model itself looks spectacular), boring free falls are already making me feel sleepy, the combat looks decent, but not exciting. Don't like Beenox's use of the Green Lantern's trailer music (the one from the Source Code was better). Scorpion looks creepy enough, I'll give them that, but I don't like the design and the overall approach (I hope we won't see him on the big screen at least during the Webb franchise).

I can understand all your points and accept them but the part about the graphics...I mean, you do understand that we're watching crappily recorded non-HD off-screen gameplay right? I dunno about you, but that's not exactly a good representation of the graphics. I'm sure we'll get some HD footage this week. Also, the game probably still has to go thru the final processing which will sharpen up the graphics and colors.

You know what's wild? less than 30 days till launch and still NO wii footage. I dont own that platform but still, it must need serious work if we still havent seen it, haha

The ps3 version needs serious work imo. Web slinging to the sky....really?

Every version is like that, not just the ps3...and Spider-Man 3 was the last game that ever utilized connecting webs, by the way. It's sad, I admit, but I think they did it so that there was never a loss of speed. Spider-Man 2 did it fairly well, but there were definitely times when you would be flying across the skyline at a million miles an hour and just appear in a low-building zone where you couldn't swing anymore. I think Beenox wants a continuous movement. Though, I do dislike that the web swinging brings you so freaking high, that makes no sense.

But the thing about sm2 was you could build up the speed and if you mastered the swing system you could get around without ending up in a non swing able area.

This brings the games back to Spiderman 1.

No, Web of Shadows brought the game back to Spider-Man 1, technically.

:p

And, honestly, this game looks A LOT better than Spider-Man 1. If you're so caught up on the webs not attaching, you might need to redefine what fun means.

I'd rather have webs sticking to the sky where gameplay isn't restricted than webs attaching to buildings restricting gameplay. That was the only problem I had with SM2, the buildings really screwed up swinging and momentum a lot of the time. SM3 tried to fix it but failed miserably by making you swing basically sideways all the time. WOS had the best swinging IMO and I think this game will have even better swinging.

Lol VenomSpawn you didn't master swinging then. I had it down really well. That never happened for me.

@SoCool. Webs was ok but I don't own that anymore so that should tell you something. :p
