Yes. If you take a photo of the broken Seeker in Research Lab 2, you should get the biography and info from Chang.

I've read a couple of reviews on ASM from IGN, Game Informer and seriously, what gives? Will these guys ever be pleased?

Anyway, I picked up my copy from Gamestop earlier today and I've played for about 8 hours today. I'm somewhere around the halfway mark thru the story mode, with 200 comic pages collected, unlocked the Kaine suit, and done one or two side missions.

ASM is the Spidey game I've been wanting for such a long time. Beenox has succeeded in making you feel like Spider-man. The webswinging takes some getting used to, I'm thinking it was the closer camera that was throwing me off, but once I got the hang of it...man, what a great ride. It's very animated, the controller rumbles, there's a real sense of vertigo and it's so damn fun. The web rush is a thing of beauty. I'm so glad that Beenox developed this feature...it's like the web zip on steroids. I gotta admit that when I first started to chain rushes together without using the slow motion mode, I looked like a severely drunk Spidey lol. But after awhile of doing it and mixing in swinging in between rushes, it is the definitive Spider-man locomotion system. The speed, the accuracy, the precision, all make for something truly unique to a Spider-man game.

The combat is by far the best system we've had in a Spidey game. Although I don't think it's quite as polished as the Arkham titles it's extremely fluid, fun and Spidey pulls off some incredible acrobatic moves and kicks some serious ass. I love web rush attacking some foes and then using web rush to vault to safety...wait a minute and then dive right back in and deliver some more punishment. Also, it's really cool to be in the middle of a fight and then engage the slow motion web rush to target an opponent and unleash a vicious web rush punch. The stealth combat is a combination of Arkham and Noir spidey from SD. Beenox really nailed the camera work in these scenarios.

The graphics are very detailed and so far I've not noticed any screen tearing during even the fastest swinging and web rushing. At times the city can look a little bland, but without spoiling anything, where I'm at in the story...the city is meant to look that way. Otherwise, there's plenty of activity going on.

Beenox has a great eye for detail. I love how after you save a civilian from a mugging they thank you and then start taking your picture with their cell phone. Hilarious.

I've noticed a couple of glitches in the gameplay, but they were very minor. During one fight an enemy briefly went into the wall but then came back out and then during the first Scorpion encounter, he also wound up in the wall for a brief moment.

I've got a lot more game left to play but so far I'm giving this game 8.5 out of 10.

I played a little more than 4.5 hours so far. I'm on Chapter 6.

I am LOVING this game, swinging around NYC is so fun. Don't mind the spoilers the game has as I figured those things would happen. Love the way they tied in Smythe and Morbius. Forced myself to put the game down for the night because I have to get up early tomorrow for work but as soon as I get home, back to spidey I go

Finally freaking got the last comic book page, took a while to find the last one. It was a flying one and in the most annoying place possible.

Looks nice. I wouldn't mind seeing a side by side comparison of this and the default TASM suit to see if it's just a recolour or if there are significant changes. Is it possible to toggle on the belt like you can with the TASM suit?

Well I'm going to bed after playing pretty much all day. I ended up at about 75% completion but I'm seriously considering not going for 100%. Mainly because I'm dreading all the enemy pictures. Haha really seems like its gonna be a pain.

I'm happy it worked for you! :awesome:

I'll never get it because I won't be able to beat this on Super Hero.

i dont think its required to beat it in superhero, i would still go for it just incase.
Here's the suit in action:

You complained about almost nothing and you gave it a 8.5? how so?

You cant use the belt with this one, the only differences are the leg stripes, they are gone and there's only silver lines.

Can anyone please give details on these cameos and the cinematic after you get all of the comic pages please?

During the Chang photo missions pay attention to what she is telling you and what you are actually taking a picture of.

Vulture:
Chang tells you that the public has been witnessing a huge bird creature. It carried a hot dog cart that is heavier than a human and no normal bird could carry it. You take a picture of a huge bird nest on top of a building.

Hydro Man:
Chang tells you about a "ghost" sighting in a neighborhood. A "ghost" figure burst out of a fire hydrant.

I think it is mysterio here, but i might be wrong:
She tells you about a figure using "magic". You take a picture of a bench and a phone booth that both have a black circling fortex underneath them. You also take a picture of a signature saying something like "I was never born so therfore i am never living" Thats not it exactly, but i think its close. I just guessed mysterio because of the magic, but the signature makes me sexond guess it.

What about the claw marks on the door and the ripped shirt on the top of the Daily Bugle?

I absolutely love this game. So far I am 9 hours in and 62% completed on super hero difficulty. I have done every side mission so far and have 200 somthing comics.

Pros:
Web Rush is amazing
The story is great and I am very into it
Collecting comics is very fun
Combat is awesome, not as good as Arkham, but still very enjoyable
I like the little cameos of bigger villians
Web retreat is so helpful
I really loved chasing vermin through the sewers of New York
The S-02 "snake" bot was so intense
The voice actors all do a great job to

Cons:
Rhino. I have fought him twice so far and both fights are very dull and just way to easy.
Camera sometimes can be difficult especially when climbing on the ceiling

9.5/10

Not finished with the game yet. The swinging was a little, um, different, at first but I just needed to get used to it. I'm thinking it was because of the camera in so tight, Spider-man is so large in the screen it kind of blocks your view of things but once you get going, after a while it looks great.

One complaint I do have is the lack of random crimes happening throughout the city and the fact that some have said they disappear completely once you've done them enough. I really hope that's not the case because the free roaming part after the story has been finished will be a bit drab. Maybe Beenox will add some more crimes with future DLC.

Rocksteady also boasted about having lots and lots of side missions, but in the end there really weren't that many. The future DLC will probably will feature new crimes I think

lol at some of u all saying "yeah you'd only like this if ur a spidey fan"

not true. tons of ppl who aren't spidey fans are loving it as well.

Heck my own gf, who is a HARDCORE gamer, is VERY critical and harsh with her opinions, who said she hates superheroes and doesn't give an eff about spider-man, she is playing the game and texted me and i quote:

f**k I.G.N, this game is awesome"

Any easter eggs in the game?

I don't plan on getting it anytime soon, maybe as a renter though for right now.
