I'm happy to hear this.

I hope "very soon" means that it will be before the end of the month, at least.

Oooh, finally saw screen shots for this game; it's interesting because I've been a fan of the costume when it came out, but now I've kind of fallen in love with look. The effects and time into recreating this make you really appreciate the more grungy look with the shoes and just overall look. Can't wait to play this. :word:

Actual discussion about the game in here?! *squeal*

I can't wait for the new trailer, I'm even more excited about the first gameplay footage that we get. Beenox better not f*** up like WOS did & NOT have post-story free roam.

Whats wong with that?
Agreed, nothing wrong in that.
Replaying story and all the free roam between missions instead of post story free roam is one of the RARE things WoS did better than the rest of the sandbox Spidey games
Even if WoS has one of the worst stories in any game and you keep doing the same stuff repeatedly

Dont'know if you read this excerpt from 2011 NYCC's liveblog,I thought it was worth posting:

As amped as fans were then, a hush fell over the room as the panel offered a world premiere of the Amazing Spider-Man tie-in video game depicting slinging through New York City before being confronted by a giant, but unidentified robot villain. The creators promised great web swinging abilities, an all new playability feature that they are holding close to the vest for now, and incredible flexibility in the new movie world. It proved popular enough with the crowd that the panel bowed to pressure to show it again.

-Which element from the “great” previous Spider-Man games can we expect?: The roaming from games like Spider-Man 2 (the movie tie-in game) certainly felt important to be included.
-Will Amazing Spider-Man boast a cinematic style similar to Spider-Man: Edge of Time?: Yes, definitely. That was important to the creators to offer that to fans.

This made me really happy!

Yes I was thinking the same thing, actually the whole excerpt made me quite excited(great web swinging abilities, all new feature). lol
Can you imagine BLUR doing the cinematics?

Good to know!

The great thing is, it's not only about the cinematics. Edge of Time has a cinematic feeling also in some gameplay parts (like when you try to crawl away from Anti-Venom) that's great! It's great to know that Beenox will keep doing stuff like that.

Yes that's true I personally loved moments like that.I also like the fact that it seems like Indoor and free-roam environments will be equally important in the game.

Yeah! Beenox really seem to listen to people's opinions

That's why I'm starting to get really excited for the game, but I don't know why something tells me not to get my hopes up,even if it already looks pretty good :/

I guess it's the combat that's haunting your mind ;) I don't know if you liked the combat in Beenox's previous Spidey games but I know I don't. Once I see that Beenox has improved on the combat I will feel very excited!

Even if the game isn't great, it'll be nice to finally own a decent free-roaming Spider-Man game on my PS3.

That and I love the new suit, so having a game where I can use it is a definite plus.

Look I liked SD and EoT very much as a whole but combat needed work.If they get rid of web weapons I'll be happy,if Spidey uses his "amazing" agility in combat I'll
be EVEN happier. The trailer showed a very agile and fast Spider-man,if they transport that in the combat system it will be incredible.

*finger crossed for great combat and great acrobatic gameplay and good story as those are the key elements for a great spidey game*

I'd love for a free roam Spidey game that is not only very fun to web swing around, but also makes it great fun to parkour around.

Also, I'd love to swing around in a "dancing" way like Peter does in SM1 when he's chasing the burglar. With the right camera angles, that would make me drool
