@ Spider-Neil, I'd expect a good Superman game within the next couple years. Rocksteady has shown interest in doing a good Supers game and look what they did for Batman!

Also, I really like the idea of the game opening with Spidey's last fight against Lizard. Though, I don't see Beenox doing that. I wonder who the game's main villain will be? Perhaps a gang war between Hammerhead and Tombstone?

I'm just really sad that Lizard might be possibly getting shafted in this game. I'm hoping Beenox somehow ties Lizard back into this game.

I hope the trailer the first week of December (rumored December and furthermore rumored the first week) is simply... amazing.:woot:

Sure, we're missing out on a few cool battles with the Lizard, but would you rather they shoehorn in a level or two with him, just for the sake of having him in the game too, or would you prefer a completely original story?

Although a flashback battle or...nightmare, or something level featuring the Lizard would be very cool.

We couldn't have both?

Why would they do that?

They could dedicate the game entirely to their own story set after the movie...or half to a plot based on a movie that everyone has seen/will see. I'd go for the first option.

I think it would be AMAZING if the game started abruptly in the middle of the final Lizard battle from the film, and it acts as a sort of tutorial level. Then, after you finish the battle, it starts off the game's story. It wouldn't be half of the game.

The game trailer is coming out on November 29th.
How do we know that?

They do it all the time. The only games that I recall which were set after the movie's story were Ghost Rider and The Punisher.

Like I said before, they could also have it as flashbacks spread through the main story of the game. This way, we have both: the movie's story and the game's.

I hope they don't get back to:
  • Collect 2000 - 3000 points
  • Collect tokens
  • Complete combat tours
  • Go through trick races
To move on through story
what was wrong with that? it was a nice way to slow things down instead fo just speeding through the game

It was annoying.
I don't want anything slowing things down for me. If I want to speed through the story, then I want to be able to do it.

I don't mind slowing the game down, as long as you get to do something that has to do with the plot. Arkham Asylum slowed the game down plenty of times and it did so by having you search for clues for example. Not complete trick races.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I would prefer it be my choice as the player to slow things down or proceed to the next story mission, not be required to do some crap before I can continue on with the story.

I agree. Side missions should be optional, not compulsory.

That might work better.

@Troy Parker

I was afraid it would start a debate I didn't feel like finishing, LOL. I was going to say that it would be cool to have those things (The tokens, races, etc) added in there as long as there are good rewards for doing them and such.

The stuff can be in there, as long as you aren't force to play any of them in order to advance in the story.

I thought you were making a statement on how the world needs to be edited, but tokens and races are good too.

Agreed with both of these statements.
