I thought they did that because 3D makes things darker so they had to compensate by making the suit lighter.

The film was shot in 3D. Regardless of whether or not you see it in 3D or 2D, you'll be watching the same film. Same color tones and brightness. You won't need to darken or brighten anything...? We're saying that the 3D cameras pick up colors dark, so they needed to brighten the colors of the suit to make up for that.

The trailer in 3D was honestly some of the best footage of a movie I have ever seen. Truly beautiful.
