The Amazing Spider-Man Amazing Spidey Video Game Thread. - Part 7

It's the start of a brand new trilogy (or maybe something more), it's a great time to join. I joined back in February.

We might get a new trailer in 14 days, whether that shows unedited gameplay is another question. However, every trailer so far has been in-game.

I want to see some cinematics and Peter Parker game play.
That would be awesome, and to see some Conners footage would be amazing.

They don't really do CGI cinematics anymore, it's usually in-game cinematics. I don't know if you get to play as Parker, they might have a costume though.

I hope they release that Behind The Scenes video they teased back in January.

There's a new preview article up that I think is the best so far. It does a good job of explaining some of the mechanics in better detail than ever before:

http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/the-amazing-spider-man-the-game-eyes-on-preview/

It says Web Rush works in the slowed-down time mode by letting you choose highlighted Spidey silhouettes that are "grounded" (probably the ones we've seen on roofs, poles, etc.) by cycling through them with the left thumbstick or by using the right thumbstick to free look and point the crosshairs exactly where you want to go. When you just tap the Web Rush button in the more advanced mode, you'll travel to the point that the crosshairs are pointing at. This makes the mode sound great to me because of the options available.

It also says when you're sneaking around inside there's a purple spider web silhouette beneath you that shows the range of a stealth takedown move. Anyone entering the silhouette will be highlighted and eligible for a takedown. They also call the other Web Rush button "Web Retreat" and say it'll take you to a safe location in the current room. They also mentioned XP bonuses for clearing a room of bad guys without being seen, or for long combos.

how about unlockables AND cheat codes? some unlockables u HAVE to unlock, other features of the game accessed by cheat codes

Text in cheats or gamepad squibbling cheats?
I prefer the former, and hope for its return

Very nice preview!

I like how during the slow down Web Rush you can still do a soft target and set a location to web rush to on your own rather than using the silhouettes if you choose. The web retreat sounds cool too. I like how Spidey simply "gets to a safer location" on his own. And it sounds like some of the gameplay mechanics are going to work smoothly, i.e. the stealth gauge and the highlighted objects that can be used for stealth attacks. And of course, once again the reviewer is very impressed with the locomotion mechanics in the demo and the combat. All in all, this game is shaping up nicely.
