quite frankly i'm tired of symbiotes. i don't even want to see venom or the black suit on screen for a long time

I agree with that. They're overrated at this point.

Will you oppose any future spidey movie if they have the symbiotes?

Not for Webb's series and not for the following games for Webb's films. The symbiotes aren't needed until the NEXT reboot. We saw an awful version of Venom, so I hope Arad doesn't push him into Webb's face this time around as there are better villains to use.

For the next reboot? Sure, because it would probably be like 20 years after we've seen Spider-Man 3. And that bad taste would have been totally out of my mouth.

I'm not a graphics ****e, but I think how good this game looks is proof that it'll be a good game. Most movie games have pretty bad graphics & they turn out bad. So one of the rare ones that look good, should play good too, right?

Captain America: Super Soldier has pretty good graphics, much better than the Iron Man games and Thor, but it was still just a mediocre game. I am hoping Amazing Spider-Man is a rare excellent gaming experience.

I agree with all of that.

What my argument would have been is if someone said "yea I'm not seeing any spidey movie with venom in it because I don't like him or any symbiotes."

I mean I don't personally care for, let's say spider slayers, but I wouldn't oppose a movie having them as the "villains". Sure, I would be dissapointed because there are better viallin choices but ill give it a chance, c'mon its SPIDER-MAN


I do understand the fact that syms are overrated, but I still love them. I wouldnt be mad if I saw Venom in this series.
Carnage doesn't really ever need to be in a spidey movie.

I'd still watch it too, but I will still give a facepalm the first time I hear about Venom being a villain, because it's not necessary.

Although, for a video game for the film series, I think it would be rather awesome to have a side mission with Spidey stopping a mad serial killer named Cletus Kasady.

Having great graphics alone doesn't mean it'll be a good game. It certainly isn't proof that it will. Amazing gameplay mechanics count for something.

Venom IMO is a b-list villain as well. only thing he has over them is popularity. other than that he is just like all of them. until now in the comics Eddie Brock was never THAT interesting of a character.

all he was was some jerk-off journalist who got pissy at both Peter and spider-Man blaming him for stupid stuff and wanted revenge.

I'd say sure if the symbiote was offline in the next 5 years out of comics

With this type of satire, you can pretty much make any villain sound this lame. Even Gobby or Doc Ock, but I get your point, you just don't like the character anymore.

Ock is a genius, Osborn is the Iron Patriot, you don't get to mess with them. Venom is a nut with insanity, he's a fitting villain for an equal nutball like Stan Lee's DareDevil (or the character most of the time)

I think it is popularity that makes a villain an A-lister villain. I mean, true, it is really about a villain that does something menacing to the hero or has some great development, but the popularity can do wonders with a villain to make him a fan favorite and that's why Arad pushed him into a movie. The story, however, could make him a better character as how Nolan is doing with Bane.

I am tired of Venom and the symbiotes as a whole as well, but Venom could definitely become a GREAT villain...if written correctly. The villain was dang near enjoyable in TSSM anyways.

Scorpion is the villian I want to see most and I hope that he is in this game but not like Rhino. I don't want human/animal hybrid. Scorpion would be great to see in movies as well but I doubt that we see him in Webb's movies because another green villian with a tail would be too similiar.

No, Sandman is much like Rhino, imo; they're both dopey and awful and would need someone "bigger", much like how Vulture was going to be the mastermind and that works both ways as an old guy in a feathery suit couldn't handle a movie all on his own either, imo.

The Venom/Sandman combo could've work, but that :45 second meet-n-greet destroyed that chance. WAY too quick.

Graphics don't necessarily mean that the game will be good. However, the gameplay we have seen thus far in the trailers would indicate that the game looks like it will be a blast to play. I'm still holding out judgement on this until we get some serious unedited gameplay mechanics featuring, combat, web rush, and swinging.

Eh, Cap had good character models but the environments were bland an uninteresting. The real feature of that game was the combat. It was another game that essentially took the 'freeflow' combat system from Arkham and applied it to Cap and his shield. It was very fun to play and that's why I own it. For a Marvel game, it was way better than IM, Thor or any others really, but it still fell short of the mark in terms of other games. And I agree and hope that TASM turns out to be one of those surprise games that ends up being that rare excellent gaming experience.

You and me both. Venom is definitely a huge fan favorite and his popularity is probably unmatched as far as the rogue gallery goes but even after all that, Venom is still very much a boring, one-dimensional character. Frankly, I'm tired of the constant beating over the head we're taking with the symbiote storyline and something different is fine with me.

There really is a black scorpion in nature if you didn't already know. It's called the Emperor scorpion. It looks freaky and menacing. Living in AZ I've had the unpleasant pleasure of seeing a few of these guys. Oh, you'll get some big ass goosebumps if you ever see one in person lol

yeah but despite their enormous size, the emperor scorpions aren't neccesarily the most aggresive or even the most poisionous. In fact they are downright dosile compaired to the Androctonus Australus. More commonly known as the "Fat Tailed Scorpion". It is the deadliest scorpion on the planet and is responsible for the deaths of many humans each year. And the color of this particular nasty bug? Many different shades of green...

yeah I knew there were black scorpions (well I just assumed lol) but I didnt know the actual name of it/them. I just searched up Emperor Scorpions on google and they really do look creepy and menacing.
