Awesome. So when will it be online? Unfortunately I don't have GTTV.

It usually appears after it is shown on tv which is Thursday night. Also there is no GTTV channel. It shows on Spike TV. If thats what you meant then nevermind.

edit: damn venom you beat me to it

We're a bunch of freaking ******s. The last one we can't get...is the 11th comic. It probably has nothing to do with the game because it's the Stan Lee comic.
So that leaves us with Scorpia and Scorpion left.
I can't recognize the cover that supposedly belongs to Scorpia, though.

Maybe, the guy who spoiled the villains really meant Scorpion instead of her, which would be way better, imo, and that would leave us with one more villain.
It doesn't seem like it's Shocker.:csad:

To anyone who may be interested, this is just a gee whiz heads-up...

I stopped in at my local Gamestop today and spoke with one of the reps there about TASM. He informed me that he was able to see the demo footage that was shown at GDC and simply put, he was blown away. He's very excited for the game and went over some stuff about what he saw. He was mostly impressed with the web rush feature and it's uses in free roam and combat. He described what he saw during free roam about the ability to interrupt any web rush with another web rush to create an insane effect of watching Spidey manuever about the city. He also described using web rush during combat aside from the stealth moves. He said in the demo, Spidey was using straight ahead free flowing combat and at one point grabbed a guy by the throat, then the guy showing the demo, entered web rush mode and targeted another enemy. Then Spidey shot out a web and webbed the two guys together and slammed them both to the floor!! Wow!! That sounds so cool. He said the web rush slow mo mode kind of resembles the slow down effect used in Red Dead Redemption. I'm guessing he was referring to the look of it. Anyways, he also said he didn't really see any glitches or flaws of any kind but he hopes they are able to do away with the screen tearing from WoS. I asked him if he saw any of that in the TASM demo and he said no.

Edit: He then told me that when you preorder the game, and it doesn't matter from where, there are also a bunch of other goodies that will come with the preorder. He couldn't specify the details but told me that they just got the info the other day and it said "bonus content." He did give me a thumbs up and quietly said, "bonus costumes" with a big grin on his face. I guess he didn't want his boss to hear him lol.

Webhead. You are my hero right now

Yeah, Scorpia...not Scorpion.

game informer has a history of having errors in thier book before, "SCORPIA" "SCORPION" could have very easily been a typo. i guess we'll see

That's actually good to know.

lol
But it's always good to have the classics.

I still want Vulture and/or Kraven.

Both of those characters would fit in very well with the cross-species idea. Vulture obviously would be one of the experiments and of course Kraven would be there to hunt everything. I would like to see them as well.

So with there only being 10 comics, having most of them for a villain in the game (along with 2 for Lizard, 1 for Spidey) does that mean there aren't any other villains in the game? Just Rhino, Iguana, Black Cat, Vermin, Scorpion/Scorpia, and Smythe? 6 isn't that bad.

That's a good number. Beenox said there would be several villains, which in my head would put the number somewhere between 3 and 7. Six makes sense to me. Plus, from what we know you fight Rhino on more than one occasion, so I'd venture a guess and say you fight all the villains more than once.

Swarm would be cool too. But the six we got are good.
I would have really liked Swarm. With a tweaked origin he would have fit perfectly for the animal-human hybrid stuff.

Unrelated but Swarm will be appearing in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon at some point, but they can't even get a guy made out of bees right so they made him out of nanobots instead. Because nanobots are more terrifying than radioactive bees, right? :o

lol

I wouldn't mind going up against Scorpia and not Scorpion, imo. It's still a scorpion-like character, plus....I really don't want to be seeing villains show up that was in the first film's video game adaptation.

If not this game, Kraven could show up in the second after hearing about all of those cross-species and only one became the "survivor" of them all, which was Spider-Man so Kraven tries to use his skills in a "survival of the fittest" type of deal.

Much like in TSSM, when Kraven was tasked in taking out Spidey after he defeated the other villains in season one.

sweeet!

So we get a universal pre-order pack? Must be for new copies only, similar to an online pass.

The guy I talked to at Gamestop seemed legit. I'm usually pretty good at smelling BS on people. He was very sincere about his excitement for TASM and went into some great details about the demo footage.
