When Beenox did a poll on their FB-page on which of these villains should be in the game, the lizard got the second most votes. That and this are enough proof for me that the lizard is in the game

I just think it'd be a missed opportunity. I know this is set after the Movie, but I'd still love the chance to fight Lizard. Either as some sort of intro mission, to get used to the control or a flashback sequence.

I agree. But we already know how the game begins and a fight with the Lizard was not mentioned.

Don't think he did.

I concur. Dee most certainly mentioned that Connors would be in the game but there was never any clear mention that Lizard would also make an appearance.

"Well The Lizard is finally in a movie so of course we want to put him in our game."

This was from an interview at GDC if I remember correctly, will try to find the video. I don't remember the exact conversation.

I can see Scorpion working for someone at first and then turning against those who made him, becoming a villain with his own agenda.

I'd rather they not go down the whole revenge angle with Scorpion. Too often it's forgotten that the guy's completely nuts. And why is that? The experiment? I don't think so. A man doesn't simply go insane over night.

Rather, I think it would be far more interesting to show Gargan's growing depravity. He was a hired sneak, a paid snitch, he followed people, rummaged through the gutters and made a pittance. He was a nobody, only defined by the sins of others.

Given that background of sleaze, I think it would be interesting to play it up. Have him be a grotesque, oafish slob. Not like a typical Noo Yoik thug as some comics protray him as, but rather like a bloated glutton or alcoholic.

The transformation didn't change his seedy persona, all it did was remove his inhibitions. Someone like that can be very dangerous when given a little power, because they lack even the most rudimentary of moral constraints.

And slowly, after he's indulged in vice after vice, he could well become someone you would class as being truly insane.

I remember that quote too. It didn't really specify that he would be a villain in the game you'd battle against or if he'd just be in there during cut scene moments. I'd prefer to have Lizard as an actual villain but if they show Connors helping Spidey out in a cut scene during the beginning of the game, why would Spidey end up fighting him again sometime later?? That just doesn't make sense to me.

Has anyone heard anything about Beenox making a port of the game for the PS Vita? I'd love it should they do that and maybe they'll announce something at E3.

How was it in the comics? Wouldn't Connors occasionally turn into the Lizard when stressed out or did he have to take the serum again? If Iguana does have Connors' memories, maybe he seeks him out. Connors could turn involuntarily, we'd get some Clash of the Titans showdown and eventually we have to bring Connors back to his senses again.

The way it stands now with what we now about the spoiler ending of TASM the movie and the first 3 hours of the video game, Connors is no longer the Lizard. Based on this, it doesn't make sense that he'd revert back to the Lizard only to fight Spidey again.

We obviously don't know enough about the story yet so it's entirely possible for this event to occur. I'm sure there would be a nice way to write the Lizard back into mix as a villain but based on what we know, I don't see it happening. Now, don't get me wrong, I'd love a good ol' tumble with the Lizard but imo it's not gonna happen. Hopefully I'm proven wrong :woot:

Does anyone have a link to an article or something?

Unfortunately no. You can read the digital version online if you're a subscriber or you can go to your local Gamestop and buy a copy. Actually, look back thru this thread or the previous one and someone already posted scans of the article and a link to the details that came out of the magazine.

Thanks!

Well, it doesn't completely tell us the beginning of the game. :yay:

Not in that link, no, because it only lists the bullet points from the Gameinformer article. The actual article from GI talks about the beginning of the game. It's worth a read.

Do you think it would be interesting to play up Jackal's obsession with Gwen Stacy? I think there are plently of villains who have the mad scientist gimmick, but Jackal's creepiness emerges from his fixation on a girl young enough to be his daughter.
It's also bizarre how he created that whole persona to avoid responsibility for his own crimes because his mind couldn't bear to face what he had done.

I enjoy the Clone aspect but think there's far more evil and unease that can be wrung out of The Jackal.

Well I thought, since they are using Iguana, that Iguana would try and kill Curt Connors. Iguana is essentially the Lizard but a separate entity. It shares most of Connors thoughts/experiences. However, it's a more personified version of the Lizard. So, with the Lizard wanting to kill Connors, that's Iguana's main pursuit.

I think if Iguana is to cross paths with Connors that maybe the stress would get to him and bring out the Lizard. Thus, resulting in the triple threat battle I've been dying to play. That would be pretty legit. But yeah, Dee has not confirmed yet if Lizard will play a role in the game.

I asked him during the first Q&A if Lizard will be rearing his ugly head in the game. Dee replied with a simple "Connors plays a huge role in the game". So yeah, very vague. Don't know if it's actually the Lizard or if maybe they use his icon after you cure everyone of the disease that is plaguing New York.

Can someone ask Dee via Twitter why GameStop hasn't updated the site for the pre-order bonus?
