AMC's Hell on Wheels

I have a feeling the revenge thing will no longer the be reason he's sticking around.

I really loved this last episode, that long range duel was pretty incredible, loved the sound design there.

I just saw last weeks episode...Youre right...indications will be that he will stick around maybe for the blonde woman.

Swede is such a great character, in fact the whole story is amazing so far...It really is better then Walking Dead right now

I cant wait to see tonights episode (on my DVR)

After the first ep I was in no hurry to see ep 2, so I waited and tonight watched 2, 3 and 4. From the moment Bohannan and The Swede had their first confrontation the show set off and hasn't stopped!

The central characters are all so interesting and all their individual motivations are compelling; which puts the show ahead of a lot of these types of heavy shows where they are reliant on one character and when they aren't onscreen you're checking the clock.

I also may be getting a crush on Dominique McElligott. :O

Was tonight's episode the first time Elam being half white was brought up? I honestly dont remember it talked about in previous eps.

I liked how that one guy got Elam to get over that mental block of hitting a white man. That got me pumped to go wailing on some white dudes and Im not even black!

Another good ep unless you're that fella who spent the entire time getting his nipples stretched. :csad: The fight between Elam and Bohannan was like the gunfights on this show, ugly and real in their presentation. Lily is one shrewd Lady and I still think Durant set up the Indian attack to try and get the maps.

Going back to ep 4 for a moment, did Bohannan kiss that hooker on the head or the mouth? and why the hell was The Swede scrubbing a floor in the nude?

He kissed her on the mouth. I think those two are in lurve.

The Swede is not all there in the head.

I think the Sweed is a bit of an OCD nut accompanied with a milatary discipline. First thing that came to mind was Howard Hughes' antics and his OCD fits.

No way dude, he kissed to top of her forehead. Bohannan reminds me of the guy from Leaving Las Vegas. He is pretty much dead inside but in this case I think Bohannan will take his chance at redemption.

I was confused, and creeped out, seeing the Swede in the nude, scrubbing the floor. He is a great character and adds a lot to the show.

That's what I figured, he's the epitome of the tortured soul, clearly hollowed out by what he's done and the death of his wife. I'm guessing Lily will be his shot at redemption.

He's like a young Joss Ackland, the voice in particular sounds like him from Lethal Weapon 2, he has the kind of odd presence that would make you nervous to be in his vicinity.

this show is surprisingly good. I wouldn't have watched it if it wasn't using Walking Dead as a lead in, but I'm glad I did. I look forward to this about as much as my other 2 Sunday shows, Walking Dead and Dexter.

Well if it was really "real", Elam would've been killed back when they were wrestling in the mud.

Unrelated note...they are hinting at a "wild child" vibe with the preacher's daughter. She liked that blood splatter a little too much.

Lol, my bad. For some reason I didnt see Bohannon in Hunter's post.

I wonder if she and Joseph get it on.

Can't say I love this show, but it is very watchable. Colm Meany is just great on it.

Common is so awesome, he deserves an Emmy nomination for this season. That scene when they were going to hang him, damn, his screaming really sold. Dude sounded like he was really fearful for his life.

I think this was probably one of my favorite episodes in terms of character development, everyone seemed to have a nice revealing moment.

Yes! Is anyone else glad at the turn of events? No more working on the railroad now. Now its buddy up and work together to stay ahead of a lynching.

Loved Elam's final words to that toole, Toole.
“My name is Elam Ferguson. You be sure to tell the Devil that when he ask who kill ya”

this last episode was easily the best episode so far, and I've loved pretty much all of it. their two backstories are just so strong, and they've woven it in a way that is incredibly interesting.

I'm going to have to catch up on New Year's Day with their season long marathon that leads into a new episode.

I wouldn't go that far, but he's definitely stepped his game up. Pretty much every acting performance of his I've seen prior to this show was cringe worthy.

I don't know if I'd say cringe worthy, but yeah, he never really left an impression on me before this series. Although maybe that has partially to do with the people he's worked with and the material he's been given in the past.

This is one of the best moment of the series. :awesome:
