American Gladiators

Did anyone else notice how Evan kicked a** on the SUPER wall? Good god. :wow:
yeah its not fair..LOL... but he needs more attitude.. he's alittle to "uppity" for me..now that he's a gladiator i mean

John was the dude with one leg right? Didn't like him being in the competetion, sure he's a great athelete and it's an inspiring story, but he really struggled in every event that required running. It's nothing against his personality, but it too much like the producers picked because of his disability and that disability really hindered him. They really need to stop with the Hallmark moments and inspirational stories, doesn't help the show.

As for the two new events, Vertigo was interesting, not too exciting though. Rocketball would be much better if it used bungee cords rather than the button that lifts you up. Really looking forward to Atlashpere being back. All in all, though, the show is much improved, the Eliminator seemed more challenging, plus felt like there's now a little more penalty for not finishing the tasks after the cargo net. Glad the made the holes smaller in Powerball to eliminate jump shots and no more loading of the weapons in Assault.
agree on all accounts
Vertigo should be between the two competitors with one Gladiator defending the end....atlasphere was always a favorite of mine
thats what i said when i saw the first heat

yeah seriously, me too. i don't have the patience to sit through a 3 min commercial anymore.

Yeah, only sports like baseball and football do I watch in real time. Every TV show I watch is started late to avoid commecials.

I think last night he was in the mindset of "wow, it really is true...I'M A GLADIATOR!"

:cwink:

lets hope you're right...

Heck DR, I hope I'm right! :funny:

Because if that wasn't his mindset, then he is definately too chipper for a gladiator! He's a monster on that wall though!

- Based on Nielsen's fast national numbers, last night's American Gladiators scored a 2.9 broadcast rating.

Damn, a 2.9? That's a bit on the low side. Hopefully, that wa sbecause not many people knew that it premiered last night. I mean, at least a 3.5. Oh well. It's not in danger of getting caned by those ratings.

Wasn't it on opposite of American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, AND Wrestling? That could have something to do with it.

Ya Dancing with the Stars and Idol are both down to their final couple episodes...and those always pull ginormous numbers....Im sure once those shows wrap up the ratings should jump a bit....

Yeah, that's true. I forgot all about Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

Yeah, that's true. I forgot all about Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

Not to mention that a new episode of "The Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother" with Britney Spears was also on from 8-9.

Quite a jam packed night of television if you ask me.

I was telling my wife last night how unfair it was for anyone else having to go against Evan in that event is, unless they too, were speed climbers themselves.

That dude that Evan chased was actually relatively fast up the wall, and was actually almost on top of the wall, when Evan finally caught up to him. If it was any other Gladiator chasing him, he would have gotten the full 10 points for that event.

Then again, AG is all about stacking it up against you. Problem is, if you're a contestant going up against someone with similar skills as you, as opposed to last night's amputee contestant, the person not being chased by Evan will have a huge advantage over you.

And only one of those three are crap and have bad ratings.

American Idol was not on last night. After it whittles down to 12 contestants, it's only on on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Rocket is awesome, i'm glad he's a gladiator.

Saw a brief clip of "Beast" and it is TNA Pro Wrestler Matt Morgan.

I say there should be a one on one pudding match involving Crush, Venom, or Phoenix

A Firefighter, a Police Officer and a Martial Arts instructor. Hmmm....Interesting occupations for three of the contenders. It looks like they are going for more athletic contenders.

why not? look at the original show...they did the same thing for the most part....as entertaining as it would be to see Ralph the balding overweight truck driver trying to lug his ass up the Wall....it probably wouldn't go over well in the long run....

Monica was a stay-at-home mom and I believe that Evan was a youth minister. I think that there may have been a lawyer or accountant among the contenders.

Evan was in retail and was a rock climbing instructor.....Monica was a stay at home mom but was an athlete in HS and college

I enjoyed Crush bouncing up and down after she knocked down a contender during joust.
