An ethical debate, do you leach your broadband connection?

the real debate should be how irritating is it when the hype has technical difficulties?

you know the double post thing, or the pushing the button and just waiting and waiting and waiting, only to find error the page could not be found, or the search button not working, or other irritating things.

I only leach a broadband connection when mine isn't working.

No, I pay for mine. Though, I have great fun hacking into my neighbor's wireless router and renaming it "You Are A Dumbass" and stuff like that. :D

The ethical debate part would be, is it ethical to use other people's internet bandwidth without their knowledge and consent?

If a neighbor always left the garden hose on to water the yard, and everyday it overflowed out into the street... it wouldn't be that big of a deal for you to go and take a drink out of the hose every now and then.

I leech off wireless connections that aren't locked just because I take that as an invite. :ninja:

You people are the predators those popups warned me about!

Are you kidding? I'm not paying for the internet. If the neighbors aren't smart enought to protect their connection, I see it as a freebie.

We had people smooching off of ours and then we passworded it. I have a friend though who hacks into other people's open connections and changes/creates a password so the owner can't get on it.
