how young would you go

You can't really dismiss anything, really. Well, you can on grounds of legality (but let's assume that the two parties are of age), and to turn around and say "no, I won't go out with you because you are 1 year younger than my cut off limit, despite you being witty, charming, intellectual and downright sexy" is a bit special.
No one said you can't date them, you just can't have sex with them if they're not of legal age.

I cunningly used the words 'of legal age', but I can understand how you missed them in your rush to dismiss my post.

What I'm saying is, that dismissing the possibility of exciting, sexual and emmotional relations with someone (OF LEGAL AGE, just in case you might miss it again...) on grounds that they do not meet your criteria in regards to age, is slightly ******ed.

People keep saying "over 18" and "under 18" with regard to the United States, but the laws do vary from state to state. Yer pretty much safe if you follow the law as if 18 is the age of consent in all the states, but if you're in a relationship with someone younger, you might find some useful information if you research your particular state's rules on the matter.

Some are 16, some are seventeen, some are 16 only if the other party is fewer than four years older and not in a position of authority... they're all different.

On the main topic: I probably wouldn't go younger than my own age, especially at this point in time. I'm 21. The guy should be able to drink legally.

Wouldn't with dating young teen girls you'd have to deal with the parents alot?
especially if you're older, I can see the parents making a huge fuss. Which, would just create more drama. Who would want to deal with that?

Because the relationship could be worth it?

the rule is one shouldn't date anyone who is under

half your age, plus 8

so being 23, i shouldn't date anyone who is under ((23/2)+8) or 19 1/2.

considering that's like 2nd year of uni (which is where my stance is anyway) i think that rules work.

that's dating however.

on a purely physical level a mature looking (and acting) 17 1/2 year old is as far as i could push it.

Right now, I wouldnt go under 16, cause I made a bet on my 16th birthday that I wouldnt...however, when I'm 17, the 1 year below 4 years above rule still counts:o

The above-18 person gets charged with rape, even though the minor partner gave full consent. The minor partner gets grounded for life, if not juvey.

Now, for those not in the know, PLEASE do not take this issue lightly. If you have sex with a minor, it is, without the slightest of exageration, A CRIMINAL OFFENCE. Even if it's a day before the minor's 18th (or whatever) birthday.

Lots of kids are unaware of this.

And don't think if you're a minor, you can get away with having sex with another minor. There's a place to detain juveniles as well.

and don't forget the parents can bust you for statuary rape, happen here a few times when daddy found out a older bf slept with his daughter and since she's a minor the dudes now have a criminal record for rape.

I've never gone out with a younger man....not for maturity reasons, I just haven't. I don't agree that young=immature, because the most immature a****** I've ever dated was 22. Which was still "young", but older than me.

I'm 18 right now, and no younger than 2 years, and no older than 3 years. That's 16 and 21. 16's the legal age of consent, and 21 is the first year of being a real adult.

being an upper 20's guy.....I tend to run into girls who are in their late teens who wanna go out...and do ...other things.....in some places it is not ethical....though I tend to wonder what you guys might think about what is too young...what is legal, or is it all in good fun?

just do her in the butt.... it solves all of lifes problems

I know it ain't legal and I wouldn't do it, but man I have seen some tempting teenagers!

I know a lot of girls who date older guys, and some of them have long lasting relationships that are obviously about more than just sex, but the guys they date are only up to 8 years older max, getting further than that and the guys always seem like such creeps.

Interesting rule.

28/2 + 8 = 22 which is near my lower limit for dating.

I'd go as young as 18. I'm 21. It's not that big of a difference. We're all in college anyway.

28 I think is the lowest I'll go. :O
I'm not sure how high I'd go.

jack lalanne is in good shape. so is that juice tiger guy. withthe big eyebrows.

16 is the legal age of consent in connecticut.Take it from the father of an attractive 16 year old girl.It really stinks.A rulr of thumb I heard of to find your ideally aged girl friend is to cut your age in half and add 10 years.I'm 43, so half is about 22, plus 10 years, so my ideal girl should be about 32.But, my wife of 20 years is 42 but looks 32.I have it pretty good there

These rules work quite well the older you get but aren't too useful for younger people.
