Christmas 2025 was looking dry, aside from Avatar of course. I know what I'll be watching now.

Next Christmas is the Christmas of Avaconda (or maybe Anatar).

I don't get that vibe at all. I don't see any insider Hollywood jokes. Just seems like a straight up horror comedy that happens to be about making a movie.

Feels more like going after the GA's love of nostalgia, even of bad stuff.

I mean, the trailer is exactly what it was saying the movie was going to be. I do respect keeping the quality of the snake designs from the OG.

I should have said satire instead of parody but it seems very tongue in cheek from them seemingly setting out to recreate the vibe of the original to them calling it "The Anaconda".

This looks like a fun enough time at the movies. Black and Rudd are always fun (well, almost always, we don't talk about Minecraft) and Steve Zahn is an underrated fave, so that's enough to rope me in. Plus I'm excited to see more of Selton Mello after 'I'm Still Here' last year.

Trailer is exactly what I expected and reinforces my plan; Anaconda will be my Christmas morning matinee movie, while Avatar will be my Christmas evening movie.
