Anchorman 2

the first Anchorman was absolutelu horrid ive never made it that far into a movie and just stopped it 20 minutes from the end its str8 ****ing ******ed

so, the whole movie was horrid based on the first 20 minutes?

nice logic.

Yeah, flawed logic if ever I saw it. In fact, it's not even logic at all.

Anyway, technically, wasnt there already an 'Anchorman 2' in the form of 'Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie'?

But anyway - I'm hoping they all return again.

Steve Carell's character needs a spinoff!!!!

We need more Wes Mantooth!

Last year I dumped the remaining after shave balm I had left, removed the label, wrote Sex Panther by Odeon with a Sharpie and then filled it with gasoline. I gave it to the friend I saw Anchorman with. He loved it and couldn't believe it.

Brian Fantana: That was one crazy party. I am hung over.
Champ Kind: I woke up on the floor of some Japanese family's rec room, and they would NOT stop screaming.
Brick Tamland: I ate a big, red candle.

Always loved the way Wes Mantooth turned out to be Ron's younger brother (deleted scene)

yeah... that worked really well for 'evan almighty'

maybe he's hesitant about it for that reason. Even so, Carell's character in Anchorman is different from the one in Evan Almighty. It might just work.

Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention? I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you, to stop what you're doing and listen:

EW said:
“Anchorman” writer-director Adam McKay tells Entertainment Weekly that he and Will Ferrell “have begun work” on a sequel that will bring ‘70s broadcaster Ron Burgundy into the 1980s.

McKay and Ferrell's other collaborations include "Saturday Night Live," where McKay served as head writer, "Talladega Nights" and "Step Brothers."

I once declared "Anchorman" one of the 10 funniest comedies ever forged.

Read all of EW’s story on the matter here.

that is more than likely the best thing i've heard all week... will ferrell... anchor man... wes mantooth... the bry man... the 80's.

that is an instant classic waiting to happen.

Nice should be a good one. They always seem to make some of the funniest damn movies.

dude... it's will ferrell... in the god damn 80's!!!

it can't miss!

The 80's alone should just make it fun.

Ferrell, Rudd,Carrell and Vaughn only thing that xould be better is if they added John C, Reily to the cast.

i can really see that happening, and i was thinking the same thing.

after talledega nights and now step brothers, these guys have really built a great working relationship with one another, and i'd love to see them in this setting.

I loved Anchorman, But I honestly thought Talledga Nights was funnier.

Either way I hope for some more Afternoon Delight!

Yeah, they're just a great comedy duo.

John C was great in the underrated "Walk hard"

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I believe the quote goes.

"60% of the time it works...everytime."

And yes Anchorman 1 is a work of pure comedic art. I can only imagine how 2 will be.

oh yes he was... i loved the running gag with him being introduced to new drugs.

my friends and i still do it with everything... if i'm eating pizza, my buddy will walk up and say, "hey, what are you eating?" and i'll yell at him "get out of here, dewey, you don't want none of this!"

:woot:

Tim Medows should also have a role in Anchorman 2. he was great.

I loved seeing new Anchorman 2 news on Attack of the Show. It was hilarious to hear McKay throw out an idea they had for it, like making it the same style as Godfather 2.

Agreed - I'd like to see Sasha Baron Cohen into the mix too. After his turn in Tellagna Nights', I think he'd be a welcome additon to the team.

'Anchorman 2'? That is not a typo on the Teleprompter.

Great Odin's raven! An Anchorman sequel might finally be moving forward. Last year, Will Ferrell told EW.com that he and Anchorman director Adam McKay were working on a followup that would bring classy 1970s newsman Ron Burgandy into the 1980s. By the hammer of Thor! On Monday, Ferrell, in Australia promoting Land of the Lost, told Aussie radio hosts Jono & Dano (that he expected to meet with Paul Rudd and Steve Carell "next week" to discuss ideas…and salaries: "[Because] believe me, I'm not taking a pay-cut. No way!"
