ang's competitive eating thread

I guess if you did it everyday, but the body is very good at bouncing back from things like occasionally overeating. The idea of "training" for major competitions is why I wouldn't go any further than the occasional dare or bet.

just like any car can hold on an occasional illegal street race or whatever

in the long run, you're still overworking the car

of course they don't but the human body is essentially a machine

so is a car

That's like saying a hair dryer should operate like a car because they're both machines. That makes no sense.

We have organs, a central nervous system and a brain that are all capable of self repair in a lot of cases. We can gain and lose weight simply by what we eat. We can cut our fingers and the skin heals itself. The next time you can turn your Sentra into a Suburban by giving it premium gas, let me know. The next time you can hit a wall in your car and it fixes itself, I want to see.

We are not like cars ...

the day you run your car for three days straight without stopping but maybe to fill gas or have something to eat (you could stop a different eating contests, to make the experiment more interesting), and spend those three days yourself not sleeping, check how you and your car fared

I'm not talking about the minute complexities of the human body compared to the mechanical complexity of a car (or a hair dryer), I'm talking about the fact that if you overwork something, be it your digestive system, a hair dryer or a computer, there will be adverse effects for your digestive system, or the hair dryer or the computer

yeah but a finger never grows back. a car door can get replaced by a similar make and model.:o

And what I'm talking about is the fact that (as I believe I said before) doing so over a long period of time can certainly open up the potential for health problems, occasionally participating isn't something the body cannot recover from on it's own - which is unlike a car. Even if you overwork the examples you just gave, the results will be different.

So yes, if you are in eating competitions every weekend for a number of years, you could probably face some long term health problems. However, if you enter into them sparingly, there's no reason to assume you'll have health issues.

im insane on traing,i see a dr every month.I do it each day and take a ton of vitamens.Im starting not to spout off about my training as much.as of today my number one google links my unpictured eater profile at ifoce.com but if you go in through the main site its not thier,i know im getting ranked but i didnt know this soon.most of the guys on that list arent that great but really great guys.movies comin, gimmie time.

update-they want me in new york on the 5th of august to compete in dumplings at the dragon boat festival, anyone familiar with this,I can devastate dumplings just fine but new yorks a haul, still going though,at this point im going for whatever i can.it sounds fun to.videos soon.

Cool...dumplings are awesome. Make sure you have someone record it.

thanks taz but now im not going-cause im offcially signed.I am under legal contract now to only compete in thier events.this is great because now i dont have to fight for spots and i can do fun stuff and free stuff.I did a vid of my milk drinking but people said it looked fake,im going to find a sure fire way.

Um, congratulations .. I guess.

its a pretty big deal, out of the many eaters the major majority arent signed.thing is alot of eaters arent putting up numbers,if you look at the standings im quite ahead of those who outrank me.im going to go on a planet hulk style eating spree and take the spot i deserve.

So im now the third greatest buffalo wing eater on the circuit.moving on!

its like leaving las vegas, only instead of drinking himself to death, hes eating himself to death. seriously your goal in life is to make a name for yourself by eating the most? i seriously do not understand. are there chicks that are into this or something? was your dad a competitive eater? i can see little to gain from this. im curious.

its a sport my friend and like all sports, your it or your not.im the youngest and slowly becoming the strongest out thier.its somthing ive hoped to do for years and ive improved steadily in my short career.im under contract now and im making my own circuit shedule.its a big deal.i bet im in better shape than you and can eat 8 to 10 times as much.I now hold two world records and im 20.thier seemed to be chicks in buffalo, kids where asking me to sign my hot suace coverd water bottles for them.thiers plenty to gain.youll see.
