Iron Man Animated Iron Man Dvd: Good Or Bad?

I was thinking of renting it as I've become interested in IronMan.

I would say go for it. I bought it and considered it to be well worth the 20 bucks. Not only was it a good movie but it had some decent features a nice preview for Dr. Strange and a kick ass cover.

Excellent until the escape from captivity, everything after that, especially the ending, just blew. I wasn't into at all and thought about turning it off several times.

I have to agree with DD03. When I watched it, there were some other things going on around me and it never really grabbed my attention. It was just kinda there, if that makes any sense at all. Nice eye-candy, but after so many live-action adaptations, animated comic movies just don't seem to do it any more.

I couldn't disagree more with the two of you. I thought it was very well done. There were some parts that could use some work, but I thought it was a very good Ironman movie. So far I have loved all the animated movies that I have seen from Marvels recent push for them. I would rank them like this

Avengers
Ironman
Avengers 2

I loved the Avengers movie and I can't wait for Dr. Strange it looks really good.

The Invincible Iron Man was very disappointing :down

I liked it.

I started reading Iron Man around 1st series issue 115 or so and stayed with the series through the Rhodey era till Iron Kid. Came back with Heroes Reborn and stayed until Tony became US SecDef at which point I just gave up, cause this wasn't the Iron Man I knew and admired anymore.

The point is - I'm well informed on the character's history.

I had no problem with the changes and I'd like to see more of this series. They take Iron Man in a different direction, but at heart this version is a lot closer to the Iron Man I remember from the 70s and 80s than either the live action movie (cool as that seems to be) or the neo-facist currently being seen in the comics.

Personally I enjoyed the Avengers movies more than the Iron Man movie...

I bought and watched it today. I thought it was okay, but overall, it was pretty average. Though I liked Marc Woorden's performace as Tony.

Bad, The animation was a disappointment for something like this, the voice acting was not great especially Tony Stark, the story was okay just basically how he started out but the actual script was dull and uninteresting, the only good thing about the film was the Iron Man red & yellow suit but unfortunately they decided to put that in for all of 5min and used the Mark 1 suit for the rest.

Overall 5/10

I thought it was good, but not brilliant. I didnt like the whole relationship between Stark and Lei Mei, and thought that the Mandarin storyline (Him being a long dead spirit who is only in the film for about 5 minutes) was terrible - He should have been a living breathing menace, out to get Iron Man the whole film.
But i still enjoyed it, and thought that the visuals were better than the Avengers movies, but overall i perfered the Avengers films.

I just dont think the people who write these movies have genuine writing talent. The dialouge is always so bland and the plots are convoluted, like the merging of the skrull story with the Hulk's spree in the first UA one. It never seems to come together. I rate them like this.

Ultimate Avengers.... F
Dr. Strange.... F
The Invincible Iron-Man.... F
Ultimate Avengers 2.... F-

I personally thought it was the best MARVEL animated film with Lions Gate to date.

That's like saying being slapped in the face is better than being kicked in the balls.

Iron Man is acceptable but dull. Ultimate Avengers is embarassing, and Ultimate Avengers 2 is the sequel precisely nobody asked for (except Avi Arad).

I thought it was the biggest pile of crap I've seen. First off it shouldn't of been an origin story because they ruined it in this flick. When Tony escaped, he should of had been a changed man and he wasn't. Hey I got a bunch of Iron Man suits already made....wtf...He even had the Hulkbuster and all, yeah because you never know when your going to be fighting the Hulk right? Oh wait you didn't build it at the time to fight Hulk:huh: The flick was filled with so much clique characters, it almost made my head spin.

Wasn't Mandarin supposed to have 10 rings?

Also let's use Iron Man's classic red and gold suit for 5mins and let's use scuba suit before the classic one.

2/10
