Comedy Another Scary Movie in the works | Wayans Bros return!!!!

I don't really care for that Nike spoof honestly, that's part of the comedy that does not work or hold up in these films IMO. Where they reference something that was hot for like a month and nobody remembers. The best kind of spoofing is the sort of stuff most people can relate to and also things that work well on their own regardless if you know what they are spoofing or not. I agree the Friedberg/Seltzer run of spoof movies that started with Date Movie is just among some of the worst comedies ever. I didn't even realize they made a Fast and Furious spoof in 2015 - their last film.

I'm not necessarily saying it's a great example, but just that it's brief. The movie doesn't dwell on it like, say, when Disaster Movie devoted several minutes to a High School Musical parody song.

**** yes the sequels sucked after the Waynes left. Saw both of the Waynes Scary Movie's in theaters when I was a preteen and the Waynes Family movies and shows were a big part of my childhood but that’s besides the point lol. I’m excited for this one. Please be good.

I guess it depends on who he will get for director and writer(s).

The Haunted House movies were written by Marlon Wayans & Rick Alvarez and you can tell. The first four Scary Movies were written by a bunch of writers including Marlon and Craig Mazin, so hopefully it goes into that route.

I’m sure they’ll go the legacy sequel route to spoof and bring Ghostface back. Though I don’t think Deputy Doofy will be quite the same in 2024 if he returns lol
