I wouldn't want to them go full of sci-fi-ish with tech, but, if it is set in the future we shouldn't just see current tech being used, or even just the newest concept prototypes for tech coming out in the next couple years

It takes place 8 years from the time of the dark knight not 8 years from now. The dark knight for all instances took place at the present i.e. 2008. So this movie should only be about 4 years off from us right now.

Nope, TDK took place in July of '08. There is a time stamp on the photo of Joker robbing the bank in the movie.

If Bane's device were to create a no-man's land where the underworld elements rise in light of the GPD's absence/weakened state, would you guys be upset to see quick cameos from "freak" mobsters like Black Mask or others?

Not that they'd have arcs, but be more like the mob bosses in TDK. They're there, but they're recognizable and communicated the idea of the old mob being ground out.

Programs that have produced Specialized Fabrics, Electromagnetic Gyroscopic Navigational Systems, Hemostatic Powders, Hi-Tech Plastics, Radiation stamping technology & Rotor Blades made of metal composites that have a low radar signature and Special Acoustic design. It also asks the question of what is the practical use for Wayne to invest in Stealth Rotor Blades. To which the reply was "What some consider niche or off the wall technology.. we view as doors to the future. And our stride through those doors will strengthen this company and the community around it"

I can see this tech being the foundation perhaps for The Bat amongst other things.
