The Dark Knight Rises Elements of The Dark Knight Returns?

I think that if this is Nolan's last Batman, he'd be a fool not to incorporate his favourite elements.
Obviously it is one of the best Batman books ever written and I would presume he agrees.

Stylistic elements are also very easily copied. Not hard to imagine the first half of this page in a Nolan movie.
