I think I might for the fam. I just wish I knew all the characters.

I've never even heard of it. What is it exactly?

Make that a hell no.

If i was 5 id be all over that. I think itd be a blast for kids.

Doom and Iron man giving each other high fives. I think I"m going to pass on this.

That's some kind of dig against Iron Man. :cmad:

I JUST KNOW IT!

Don't have kids, so no, might get it for my nephew for christmas though, he'd probably love the game.

This seriously does look terrible. It looks like Spider-Man: Friend or Foe and MUA had a terrible terrible ugly love child.

It's probably a fun game for kids, but no logical thinking adult would seriously want to play this, only excuse would be would be to have fun with your kids, but then you'd just be having fun because it was with your kid, and not because it was y'know a good game.

Yes.

I'm sure how great the game will be, but my youngest and I already watch the cartoon. Its kiddie, but very funny.

So this will be another marvel game that he and I can play together.

Cool let me know how you and your son enjoy it. I'm looking forward to playing this with my wife and daughter when she's older. I can see the wife choosing Hulk or Thing. She thinks they'll cute, even in the 616 Universe lol.

I shall. I've watched gameplay videos and it shows simple levels with a smash brothers type multiplayer, although I do not expect it to be up to SSBM quality.

It looks fun enough that my son and I will enjoy the play through. I just haven't heard how long a game it is yet (not expecting too much) and I think I read that you have to use the preselected characters in the story missions. The preselected characters is the only thing that really stood out to me that I might dislike. If you have the amount of characters that they are talking about (even though most of the "secret" characters seem to be different skins mainly) then it looks like the secret characters would mainly be used in vs mode.

So we will see if it's decent enough. But like I said, I'm not expecting too much from it.

And I have to ask. Do you look anything like Hulk or Thing if your wife finds them cute? :yay:

LOL, I have the muscles of Hulk, LOL. Nah the only thing I have in common with them is that I'm stubborn and dumb lol

I saw some clips of the game from Comic con and one of the developers said other characters like Spider-man are available in the story mode once unlocked. Walmart on their page has a promotion where you get black suit Spidey and Cap dressed like US Agent. And Nightcrawler is playable I saw in a vid.

Yeah, I was planning on getting it from Walmart for that reason. Since one literally just opened up 3 minutes from my house AND it happens to be where my wife is spending alot of her time, then it's a no brainer. :woot:

Sadly I'll have to get it from Gamestop more than likely, I'm gonna trade in some games towards it. I'm hoping it's a code that maybe someone on the net will post.

MW, and anyone else with interest in this game, I wanted to give an update.

The game is fun little brawler that primarily will appeal to kids. But also there in lies some of the problems.

1) The game sometimes puts a damaging surface under you that you have to jump from small rock to small rock to avoid. Sometimes these small rock platforms will start sinking once you jump on them.

This isn't the main problem, since we all have played platforming games before. The problem is that sometimes on these small platforms surrounded by lava, you will get a giant spawn of fast hitting molemen, or other villan, that will swarm you.

This is bad because, even though they die in one hit, they will keep knocking you out of your first hit against them if there are enough of the little buggers. And it's hard to jump around due to the before mentioned lava or other substance.

Luckily these times are very few (Mainly on the Hulk stages) can easily be bypassed with forewarning of the event, but might prove troublesome to the younger audience and might be something you will have to help them with.

2) The camera is the real stinker in this game. I can not state that enough. there will be times you have to throw rocks or shoot mines that you cannot see due to the poor camera. There are some stages were this will be no problem at all, and others that will make an adult frustrated much less a child.

And the co-op camera is worse. The camera stays following the 1st player at all times and, unlike the MUA games, there is no "containng boundary" for the 2nd player. This is problematic give the don't fall in the lava, gamma sludge, emptyness levels that mean instant death.

3) Although this one is something I just don't like, you cannot use the character costumes you like in adventure mode. Only in battle mode.

4) Battle mode. This is a fun little 4player supersmash bro style portion of the game. Just remember if you are going vs your kid, that all characters are NOT created equal. If you pick a nonflyer vs a flyer, then prepare for your kid to hover off the platform and shoot you with projectiles. :)

So, if you plan on getting this for your kid, be prepared to have to help them a bit due to a couple frustrating parts of the game and some bad camera controls.

At this point, my son and I have beaten the game with several stage redo's to get more costumes and such.

I think we have opened up everyone but maybe 2 players and the supposed secret spiderman level.

All in all I've give the game a solid 7ish score which would jump if the camera was better.

It's fun when it's just a kiddie hack n slash. Just remember that teens thru adult is not the primary audience for this game. I'd recommed people with kids to get it, but maybe I'd wait till it dropped down to 20 bucks or so first.

How did you unlock everyone?
I only have Thing, Doom, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Spidey and Moleman unlocked.
I wish I could get black suit Spidey.

My brother and I (both in our 20s) have made it a habit of playing the XML/MUA series when we're both home for the holidays, so I was thinking of buying this one as a Thanksgiving appetizer. From what I've read, he and I could probably blow through it in a night or two, then save MUA2 for Christmas when we're together longer.
