Anyone else into not drinking?

I'm 22 and I have never really been in to drinking. I think the last time I drank was a year ago. It was six months after I turned 21 and wanted to buy a lest 1 drink so I got a sex the beach. Just So I could tell people that I have had sex on a beach. :woot: while that drink was good, I think most drinks taste so horriable that there isn't a enough RootBeer in the stores to get the taste out of my mouth Beer of any kind is the worst.

if I do drink it's like 1 glass or less and in a six or more months period in between, just to try the stuff, but its not that great, it's pretty crappy if you want to know the turth of it and the drinking parties at college not what they show on the movies. Those have to be the Crappest parties I have ever been to.

I rather be the loser who is home on a friday night watching movies and eating pizza by myself. oh dang bad chose of words I already do that.

I'm 22 now, when I turned 21 I just wasn't as into it as I thought I would be. I'm usually designated driver cause my friends are idiots and like to drink and drive. So I'm usually the one they call at like 3 am

I'm usually the DD as well. My friends really appreciate it.

The thing is, my car is a tiny two-door Saturn that barely seats 4 (sometimes 5, if I risk breaking seat-belt laws). So usually they're incredibly uncomfortable.

So it's a trade-off. :woot: That's what you get for getting ****-faced!

It was still kind of weird getting asked for ID in the states because the drinking age is 18 in the UK and by the time everyones 21 the novelty of alcohol has worn off.

It's definitely an acquired taste. I've learned to appreciate a good flavored beer and can't really stand drinking the Natty-Light-type beer I used to drink about 10 years ago.

I'd love to get terry drunk.

I'd shave off his eyebrow when he passed out. Just one eyebrow though...

... so he'd be forced to shave the other one off himself.

And I'll go Gran Torino on you in the aftermath for doing it.

Drinking is almost always a part of hanging out with my friends. We're not alcoholics or anything we just enjoy getting together at a bar or something and having a few drinks on the weekend. It's more about the social aspect than the drinking aspect. We'll usually end the night fairly drunk, but we also all live in the city so we take cabs home instead of driving. I don't think there's anything wrong with drinking and if someone doesn't want to drink that's cool to.

I do think a lot of people on this board are showing they're inexperience and "parental" pressure when they say they never have, never will drink. I really believe you can't vilify something if you haven't tried it. I never drank till I went to college, but never found anything wrong with drinking, it's just another form of hanging out with your friends and if everyone knows their limits and is of the same mindset, it can be a fun way to spend a night. Not saying I or anyone needs to drink to have fun, but also don't knock it, 'till you've tried it and not just a single drink in a night, go crazy one night, get blitzed, have a friend there to keep an eye on you, but just see it from the other side of the wall one time.

I'm 26, and never had a sip of anything. I don't see the allure.

I used to be right into the drinking...kinda slowed down now, but still have a social beer or two if I'm out.

I'm totally with you. I'm 35 and never touched the stuff. I saw numerous people get drunk when I was a kid and that turned me off to alcohol long before my 21st B-Day.

I'm just 15, but I have already made the decision to never drink alcohol. Same goes for drugs and tobacco.

I drink on occasion, but rarely and I don't get drunk. I hate drunks. And I don't like people who drink socially just because everyone else is doing it. Morons.

Not calling out anybody in this thread, but some non-drinkers look like they're waiting for a prize. It's just as ridiculous as the "drink till you puke every weekend and let everybody know it" frat guy

No way. Not drinking for any reason is better than being an ass, anyday.

But drinking makes women more receptive to suggestions.

It's not a good sign if you have to make women more receptive. :(

The good news is, that kind of woman usually doesn't need alcohol to be more receptive.

Well it's better than duct tape and ether.

I'm surprised by most of the responses here.

Not that I drink everyday. I probably drink once every two weeks but rarely get tanked.

I usually like to drink until I feel relaxed (buzzed) but not falling over and throwing up on some woman. Think that's the difference. You can drink but not to excess.
I'm not.

I had three sips of vodka last night just to see if it tasted like rubbing alcohol like I thought it would (it really does, btw). It did and the mild feelings I experienced from it make me thoroughly glad I don't drink. :o

I've not drank since the other night
