Jumped on board with 35.
Here are some good places to startAs a possible new reader for Ms Marvel what issue is good to start?
Here are some good places to start
Ms. Marvel #35 - The Death of Ms. Marvel Part 1. This is post Secret Invasion and the very beginning of the arc that kills her off and sets up the events that are currently playing out in the title
Ms.Marvel #38 - First issue featuring Moonstone as the new Ms. Marvel
The book is currently at #44, so theres not that many issues which have passed since
Not really. I guess I would say both are but Moonstar is more of the lead character at the moment. There's a big mystery surrounding Ms. Marvel and if the woman who showed up recently is the real deal asWho is currently the star of the book, Ms Marvel or Moonstone?......kind of a stupid question I know.
What's happened to Karla then? She back to being Moonstone or is she dead?
She's being drawn by Sana Takeda, who's one of the best new artists Marvel has picked up recently.
she's not depowered. She got her moonstone back at the end of the issue. If she's seperated from it for more than 72 hours, she's dead and Carol wasnt going to kill herShe's temporarily depowered. Apparently once Ms Marvel was restored to normal she was able to beat moonstone with absolute ease and even was able to reach into her chest and pull the moonstone out. If you can't tell my intended tone here, I'm unimpressed, as I have been with everything since her death storyline.
Ms. Marvel's death isnt something that will be touched upon outside of her book but Moonstone's current status defiently will be. Thats one development from this book that cant be ignored or at least shouldnt be. Will she reform, at least temporarily? Will she back down from Norman? Will she ignore what happened and continue on as Ms. Marvel? Stay with the Dark Avengers as Moonstone? Alot happenned with her and I want to see the following up.Honestly if you ignored the Ms Marvel comic, it really was like she was never dead(even though she was never dead to begin with). And now it would be redundant to show how everyone feels about her being dead when she's running around in her comic again. While NA takes place before, it still doesn't change the fact that it never felt like she died. This is kinda my issue with the list right now. Hawkeye is running all over the place in other comics while he has been captured by Norman.
