Comics AoA vs. 616

So when do you guys think we will have the third universe - a mix between 616 and AoA? or even 616 and Ultimates?

No, but I do think the Ultimate Universe will be retired in a few years and a new "Alternate reality" line will be established.

In AoA he seems to be weaker than 616. And it was quite short. And why does magneto killed him so easily?
That kind of things convinced me that AoA isn't the best Apocalypse dream.
There are many stories around apocalypse that doesn't make sense or make him look like always failing.

Magneto was fighting him along with Nate grey (arguably THE most powerful mutant...ever) so that hardly offers up Apocalypse as being a smallfry. that and magneto owns. he could easily kill anything that has metal in it...including Apocalypse. and AoA was short because, well, it wasn't intended to last. so it had to have resolution.

and other than screwing baby cable...616 Apocalypse hasnt really accomplished much.

I mean..He COULD do something really diabolical, if only some writer..and the editors..were brave enough to allow it. hasnt happened yet though.

and any number of people could easily kill Apocalypse in the 616 (magneto, prf x, iceman, hulk, speedball[j/k]) no one hs done it yet because well....killing him here only means he is dead, killing him in AOA meant the end of his rule and a new hope...even though the world was supposed to end.

Read just about everything OutcryX wrote just above.

As he said, Magneto was fighting Apocalypse alongside Nate Grey - the AoA version of Cable, made by Sinister from the DNA of Cyclops and Jean Grey for the express purpose of FIGHTING AND KILLING APOCALYPSE. Only Nate didn't get to, because he got trapped up in fighting Holocaust and got thrown into the M'Kraan crystal. So Magneto finished it up, and I think the narration boxes on that page even state that he puts all his power into tearing Apocalypse, literally, in half.

okay, i get it
and so the conclussion is the same.. apocalypse seems to always lose on any universe.
But beside all this, i liked his strange red outfit. Something new to one's eyes

edit: i thought he was inmortal (that's my point)

Immortal generally means unaging, or unable to die due to old age.

Unable to die period, unable to be hurt, would more accurately be invulnerability.

Mr. awesome personified..aka...X-Man...aka Nate Grey

and WHY must the freakin Phoenix be in EVERY damn universe and ALWAYS go for Jean ( i really hope i didnt open a can of stank worms) I remember that Jennifer girl, i think that was her name, coulda been jessica, that became the phoenix in the original Exiles book that was a malibu/Marvel crossover..let her be the damn bird already and let jean just be uber powerful

Because other than the Phoenix, she's pretty much pathetic. Don't even get me started with the Scott tongue-bathing.

Yeah, and that girl from Exiles could've a good storyline with the Phoenix too. It's just that Marvel is so obsessed with the Grey-Summers storyline as Hollywood is kissing the ass of the Jolie-Pitt spawn.

I didn't know that he's dead, but after reading him being with Madelyn is enough to keep me away.

the Madelyine pairing was soooo freaking GROSS. i mean come on...getting him with the clone of his freaking mother...yuk....he and Threnody had a kid together tho. i liked him with threnody and for those talking about anger boy....he grew out of that.

There is a very memorable What if story where it is none other than my beloved goddess who gets the Phoenix Force... I recommend you read it.

There was a guy from Guardians of the Galaxy in like the year 3000 that had the Phoenix Force also, and some realities have shown us different Phoenix wielders, not just Jean. She just always gets it in the "mainstream" alternate realities, such as Ultimate U, AoA, DoFP, etc

In my Remnants fanfic, which is a continuation of the original AOA I gave it to Betsy (though there's a bit more to it than just that)

Betsy with the phoenix force? interesting. i am in the minority in not liking her though. maybe it would do for her like it did for jean...make an unlikable character likable then after overexposure and overwriting that said character make her annoying and lame

I love Betsy for the original character she is but I hate them throwing Jean stuff on her. It jsut doesnt work. I hope she never gets PF in any universe

I hope no one gets Phoenix Force in every universe.

there should be something out there that can kill the Phoenix Force, not the avatar, just the force

i liked all the costumes in the aoa better than the 616, especially the four horsemen's. sinister's costume was badass and he didn't really detract from the 616 universe in terms of personality...mysterious and constantly scheming. i also loved abyss outfit...i don't remember him in the 616, wasn't he like one of those gene mutates or something?
anways on a side note, you guys talking about gambit a few pages earlier reminded me of something i never figured out. when he found the m'kraan crystal why did it say that he was chosen one...or something like that?

I guess it was something like only he could retrieve the shard needed to restore reality.
