Which version will they choose?
Who would you cast?
What name would you want him to go by?

DONALD GLOVER as AQUALAD/KALDDUR'AHM
Donald Glover famously known for his role in the sitcom Community has now grown as an actor and rapper Childish Gambino. He can fit any direction they want to go with the character, if they want him as a comic relief or a witty supporting character he can do so, or if they want him to be a serious and a grounded character he can do it as well. Glover has done an exceptional job in the new film The Martian. He is also in physical shape for the character.

Garth has more history but Khaldur is a better character. We all know Black Manta has a history with Aquaman's son, it adds another layer to the Black Manta/Aquaman relationship by introducing Khaldur (Black Mantas son)

honestly Aquaman can have a pretty good crew, Tempest, Khaldur and Mera should all get prominent roles in this movie

FORREST GOODLUCK (Actor from The Revenant) as GARTH

Personally I want Khaldur to be Aqulad if we have the character in this universe. Michael B. Jordan would be a good choice.

Kaldur is a far superior character. If it's between Garth and Kaldur, I'd go with Kaldur. But it'd be cool to see them both.

Kaldur as Aqualad and Garth as Tempest would be cool with me

Kalder would be better but I have no idea who could play him now. John boyega's star is too big for the role now

I would love if with what ever character they choose, if they choose to have an Aqualad, that he really is a teen and not over 21 or something. If you do a version of say Kaldur, make him a legit teen. The argument against the teen sidekicks in live action has to my mind only ever really applied to two in the DCU: Speedy and Robin. And with them you still can fudge a bit if you really put a focus on their fighting ability I think. The hurdle of the audience buying these young characters operating alongside seasoned super heroes has a great leveler in the context of super powers. Is it ridiculous in a "realistic" sense for Superman to take a 15-16 year old girl into a dangerous situation? Yeah. But make that teenager his super powered cousin and it's easier by far to adjust to the idea. Most of the traditional teen sidekicks of the DC heroes are super powered, and this includes any version of Aqualad.

Having Aqualad as a teen if executed well, would add real pathos and weight to a dilemma of having "two fathers/mentors" in my eyes.

I prefer Kaldur because of YJ, but I wouldn't be upset if we got Garth.

Had this movie been made 10 years ago, Ben Barnes would've made the PERFECT Garth, but alas he has aged out of the role and is rumored to be playing Jigsaw in the Punisher Netflix series.

No confirmation yet but I would like to see Kaldur

Make it Kaldur. Those water swords would look awesome in live-action.
