first-- for those of you wondering about "The Flash," just in case you don't know (and you might), it's going to be a movie written and directed by David Goyer and likely starring Ryan Reynolds. Supposedly they're going to really delve into just how weird things would be if someone could actually move that fast... Goyer is focusing on the science behind it. I *think* they may also use the whole "speed force" thing as well.

Second, it DID sound Anette O'toole at the beginning! I keep wondering if that was her.

Third, the preview was good, BUT reports are that the pilot was B O R I N G as all heck. Also, I think some of you a turning a blind eye to a few things. The actor playing Aquaman comes off as somewhat unlikeable, which doesn't bode well. As for Ving Rhames, I'm sorry, but he's HORRIBLE here. They should have recast. He gives absolutely no nuance to his performance. He reads every line like it was written in lead, so that instead of being foreboding and full of portent, it comes off as just lame and very B-movie-ish. The poster that suggested he try some other "styles" of acting was right on the money.

I DO agree that if they went with this, it would be much better to just come out and call it Aquaman. "Mercy Reef"??!?! Please. That title alone would keep people away.

One has to wonder how this preview got "leaked." Rather suspiscious timing coming right after the CW's decision not to put it on the fall schedule. My guess is someone behind the scenes at the show did it hoping it would cause exactly the reaction it's generating, and hopefully convince the CW to give it a chance.

I think they should reshoot the pilot with someone a little less leaden and heavy handed in the Ving Rhames role. In an ideal world, I'd say recast the lead role as well, but I don't see that happening.

Just relase it on anything but I really do want to watch it. I'm pretty freaked out, I thought the preview painted an amazing picture for Aquaman. That looks like a great made for TV movie.

or at least rent it but I do want to see it. Thought V.Rhames was a GREAT touch as a 'guidance' character. Anyone else notice Lou Diamond Phillips as the bad guy army type? Really looks like they tried to make it work.

This show could be huge!!!!! CW needs to get it together and put it out there. Over 80,250 views on you tube can't be wrong. Over 80,250 views!!!!! C'mon, movie trailers don't even get that many views. Full episodes of, well, anything, don't even get that many. AQUAMAN!!!

ay I see it, Aquman has serious series potential. More than a young Superman show. At least the way that they handled Smallville. And no, I'm not talking about popularity, I'm talking about quality. For Superman, you can cover him finding out about Krypton in one episode. He finds out where he's from, and then it's "Wow, all those people died. Sad. I'm going to go save people and hit on Lois now." With Aquaman, it's a much bigger part of his story. "Wow, I'm the lost King of Atlantis. Time to go reclaim my throne." That right there would take up a whole season. Maybe two. Add in bad guys like Black Manta, Ocean Master, The Shark, and some Atlantian demon types, and you have enough material for at least three seasons. And, eventually, you'll start getting into West Wing style polotical stuff, since he'll have to be dealing with other world leaders as King.

Exactly, it could be awesome, could. CW just needs to pick it up. Everyone, maybe if we focus hard enouh on CW picking it up, maybe through sheer force of will we can make it happen.

I don't understand why the network won't air the pilot and let us decide whether or not it's worthy. I could care less for conspiracy theories heavy handed explained about why the preview was leaked.
I'd be right upset too if I'd made a pilot with high hopes and then find out it wasn't going to be shown.
I still think it looks amazing. I still think Ving looks great and I'm into an Aquaman who is moody.

Does anybody know how to make online banner links? It would be great to make some linked tot he trailer that we could spread all over the internet. Speaking of banners, I thought of something like an hour ago. Those of us without fear, should make huge banners, physical material banners. Put something like "SAVE AQUAMAN!" on it with a link to a site with the trailer. And hang them wherever we can. Im just sayin its an idea.

Johnny Storm and the people like him are whats wrong with America, and I dont mean superheroes, I mean cocky pricks that deserved to be punched in the face for having a lack of depth in their personallity. I feel like I were to talk to this guy in real life (I dont mean Chris Evans) I mean Johnny Storm, I could last a minute without realizing; WOW, this guy is full of himself, and most likely parades with girls for one night stands to make himself feel confident about himself.

And while I am ranting, how can a dim wit like that be an Astronaut and NOT know wtf a supernova is? Jesus christ this kid needs to be castrated and killed off.
