Surprising considering the "Oscar Buzz"

Wasn't on a couple of the best films of the year list too?

Bah humbug to any critics whining about cheesiness and zanyness. I love my superhero epics with a extra large heaping side of cheesiness and zanyness, bring it on. Heck, Ragnarok is my favourite Marvel movie so you know I'm not lying. I'm really glad this is being reviewed well, I've been excited about it for a while. It sounds like a lot of fun and a big spectacle so I can't wait to see it.

Non-stop fun and spectacle absolutely guaranteed. If you're cool with cheesy and zany then the chances of you liking it went up another 50%. People who are used to things being "over the top" for them are likely to have a bad time though.

I thought people would be happier. Maybe it's because the twitter reactions were really glowing, although they very often are.

I honestly think thats whats causing all the hubbub. The critic twitter reactions were all hyperbolic AF. They were all saying their minds were blown and now none of the actual reviews from said critics are reflecting that feeling.

Okay, I'm not the biggest Aquaman fan, far from it, but I would rather see Aquaman directed by Joel Schumacher starring George Clooney than to sit through Mary Poppins. The original OR the sequel.

Just...not a fan of musicals. At all. Hate' em, actually. (with the RARE exception)

Aquaman with 39% reviews would be more likely to get my money than a Mary Poppins movie with a 99% review.
