Aquaman's Critical Reception Thread (Rotten Tomato and Metacritic)

My wife and I are going on a short vacation this weekend but I will most certainly be going to see this on a big a screen close by us. The last time we were so visually blown away on the big screen was watching Dr Strange on Imax

Honestly how hard is it to say whether they liked it or not? Give me ebert and roeper or siskel please a with a good ole thumbs up or down. 20-30 plus video and ultimately have no final opinion is a joke

haha yeah i feel you! people just like hearing themselves talk and like or hate be true to yourself and clearly articulate what you thought and why--- those are the critics i like most. I will give them some slack though, cuz it's a spoiler free review.

I love Grace's review-- it's very encouraging. Just hate that she says if people don't like it they're haters-- i hate critics and people who think if others don't think like them they or wrong or have ulterior motives, that's annoying.

But for the most part everyone agrees it's a visual masterpiece and long...lol

This need to attack anyone who doesnt like a film needs to end. I might disagree with say the EW guy or someone else in how they review the film, but there is nothing wrong with them not liking the same thing I do.

I guess that is exactly my point.

Thanks to youtube and how easy it is to have and run a website now, anyone seems like credible critics. You could spend the time to filter out the ones that arent really, but why does it have to be so hard?

Besides, even the critics, some highlight their positive feeings in a tweet only to be very detailed negatively later with a rotten review lol.

Really glad to see this being the 2nd Fresh film in the DCEU.

My hype for tomorrow night just increased substantially.

At this point, I don't care about critics. My opinion is the only one that's gonna end up counting when I leave the theater. I'm not gonna say to myself, "well, it seemed like an awesome movie, but this critic said otherwise so I must be wrong".

I have said that for years...but these days we might be the minority. People want things easily quantifiable to them.
