Are they EVER going to make the multiverse infinite

After reading multiversity today it shows that the DC Multiverse is still only 52 worlds it has been this way since they reintroduced it 7 years ago it should be infinite but they still have it at that number which leads me to this question are they EVER make it infinite like it's supposed to be or are they going to leave it at that asinine severly limiting number if anyone knows anything please tell me

The multiverse is already infinite. It doesn't matter if DC wants to say there's only 52 Earths, there's as many as writers can make and editors will allow. It's like when they said there was no multiverse after Infinite Crisis on Infinite Earths, but you still had Elseworld tales. The multiverse is only restricted by imagination, and imigination is endless. Don't worry so much about what writers or editors try to tell you. That only matters to the story at hand, not to the big picture.
