it depends what it's about, you can tell a story about villains and make it interesting, if it's about spider-man teaming up with them then that doesn't sound like a great idea

Personally I always felt they could create their own MCU type storyline where you build the sinister 6 up in their movie and have then have them fight spider-man in his next solo movie, personally I think that would excite the audience because you can show what a threat they are in their own movie then the build up to next spider-man movie would create some interest

As of now, no. I wasn't even excited when it was announced. I just want TASM 3. Sony needs to finish qith the basics before they do movies like this. Finisht the trilogy first, especially with TASM 2's mixed receptoin.

I'm so excited, just for the reason just because of the totally unconventional yet big budget nature of it and I'm a total sucker for Spider-man things. and this might, just MIGHT be their chance to get a clean sleight if they'll play their cards right

am I more excited for this than all the other humongous stuff coming in the next few years? of course not

I'm excited because of Goddard. Sony must know they can't do a paint by numbers movie, not if they want to stand out from the crowd. So my hope is they are hands off and allow Goddard to subvert the genre just like he did with Cabin in the Woods.

As of now, NO. I'll wait to see what news we get and any trailers to see if that piques my interest. If it looks good I may see it but even then I'll wait for reviews and audience reactions...if it doesn't do well, I am not gonna waste money on tickets. I won't fund someone or something that doesn't want to put out a quality product.

Hopefully it gets canceled, there's no way Sony's spin offs are going to be able to compete with Marvel, Fox and DC. let's just hope SS flops.

The fact that I don't know makes me think NO!

Well I think the mods are waiting it out. Some people are speculating weather or not The Sinister 6 movie is going to be TASM 3 or not. They were announced separate, but Sony is kinda unpredictable right now.
