Argylle

Oh, wow, I'm in. Might check out the book when it comes out.

I don’t know if I can handle the combined sexiness of Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa and Bryce Dallas Howard onscreen all at once. Good Lord. I can’t wait for this.

Interesting, especially since the description indicates that Argylle is a male character (presumably that’s who Cavill is playing). Then again, maybe that’s just the initial setup and he gets killed early on, lol.

Observer reported this yesterday before Deadline. Didn’t take the source seriously until today.

‘Kingsman’ Director Matthew Vaughn Assembles Cast for New Spy Thriller (Exclusive)

Bryce Dallas Howard is in talks to star in the lead role. Tricked into thinking she’s a writer, her lethal skills return with her memories, setting her down a path of revenge against the shadowy organization she used to work for, the Division. Also in talks to star are Sam Rockwell as a former Division agent and our heroine’s love interest, and Samuel L. Jackson as a rogue agent dedicated to exposing the corruption within the clandestine spy network.

Maybe Cavill is the villain of this Division ala Mission: Impossible.

Em yeah, I’m watching.

The seemingly contradictory plot descriptions are confusing, but the cast is amazing. Very excited to see Sam Rockwell in a major picture again and Bryce Dallas Howard to potentially have the lead in a franchise that isn't Jurassic World.

Sounds like Long Kiss Goodnight. That's a tough standard to surpass.

Damn, that cast sounds pretty awesome :wow:. Also, Vaughn’s first non-Kingsman movie since 2014 . Looking forward to this.

So, I re-read the article from Observer:

Vaughn is set to direct a new movie about a best-selling spy novelist who turns out to be a world-class spy suffering from amnesia, sources tell Observer.

Maybe Argylle is a fictional character, and he could be played by Cavill in an opening sequence.

That would kinda fit the premise. Especially since Cavill has been linked to James Bond in the past; they might be kinda poking fun at that by casting him as a fictional Bond-type.

I was presuming Cavill would be the lead and if this were the case, I was wondering if this would hinder any chances he has of potentially getting the Bond role. Be it through poking fun at it, or playing a character too similar to Bond.

Looking forward to it.

So I'm guessing this won't be released in cinemas like it was initially reported.

Love her! Good Lord, this cast is shaping up to be as good as the Knives Out and Dune ones.

LOL that hair. The odds of Cavill landing the James Bond role just plummeted into the cellar based on that hairstyle alone.

Dua Lipa looks great though. :hrt:
